With the demand at the present price and backlog, there is no way they will lower the price.

Maybe will have more stations, but definitely not lowering price.

To me, the conversion doesn't look so promising. Even when I look at those numbers quote in the article, they are not tally at all.

In the article, it says 进入今年首4个月,本地CNG汽车的数量已超过去年一倍,达到538辆. So I can conclude that this year there're about 269 cars converted between Jan and Apr. And then when you look at the numbers the converters quoted & the additional new cars the PI claimed to have sold - they are simply boasting. If you had converted so many cars in past few months, we should see at least 1000 CNG cars on road by now.

I think they are just taking the oppotunity to get publicity. And if you just look at the rate how the Mandai station increased their cng price - it's much steeper then the pertol & diesel! It would not suprise me if you find out that your CNG car only gives you very pathetic savings (compares to petrol car) a few months down the road.

The converters are very happy to show their client the ROI (Return of Investment). Some ppl can get a very good ROI base on their calculation - some are less than 2 yrs. But without factor in the movement of the CNG price of the next few years, can you trust the ROI? Take Mandai station for example, if they keep on increase their price like what they are doing now (which is very likely), the ROI numbers are simply bul*sh*t.

Agree with you.

The 500 conversion per month may be for May onwards. They never say which month exactly right?

I think CNG price are somehow pegged to the Petrol price.

Gov has clarified this sometimes back, I don't remember the formula they used. But I am sure its not directly proportional.

Who knows Malaysia/Indonesia may also use more CNG in the next few years creating huge demand for CNG and subsequently may priced up the CNG they sell to Singapore.

Who knows?

if u want me to bet, i dare to bet on this..... no way MIW will do nothing seeing their revenue drops over time when CNG's getting too "large" with more people converted..... MIW always want a piece of "good money" business and sad part is, they set rules and regulation on which "business" they want and dont want with no room for objection...... [sly]

"Don't give me feedback or talk history, we don't want to hear them"....Just like the advertistment in the recent TV programe, said "Yes Boss" but still never listen to customers' feedback. I encountered this type of service once, the sale person just not interested in your feedback. Feedback to salesman is not complaint but to let him know the problem and hope that they will do a better job and lessen customers' unhappiness.

I remember read from a article from a website no long ago which said that becoz all the power station using gas to generate power, the gov will keep the CNG price stable, not manipulating it like the petrol price. Now I feel the article was lying. The Gov can simply subsidize the powerstation's gas but chop us over our CNG usage mah!
