Drive_carcar Clutched May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 I'm not asking for subsidies, but at least can't they reduce the petrol tax? And then how about further reduce the GST? Further, didn't they say the GST increase was to "help" the lower income group? Can't the govt just don't try and "help" for once? Everytime they want to "help" some group of people, it end up costing everybody.
Seaweed 1st Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 what if we don't have national day celebration this year and distributed the money to everyone??? I think at least good enough to get one free pack of chicken rice everyone right???...and i think this will make the very poor happy...one less meal to worry...then those whose do not want the chicken can don't collect and the uncollected distributed to the poor....so they have more meals which they do not need to worry !!!! I frankly can't even be bothered about the chicken rice. Chicken rice is high in saturated fat, further it gives me upset stomach. I'll willingly give up my family's share of chicken rice then. Just cut GST, and cut petrol tax. Don't need subsidies.
