shd be. normally i dun use tyre that are more than 6mths past month of manufacture as tyre might harden.

ot a little bit, didn't u check before they put it on?? as to whether can change or not, it depend on whether (1) tyres offered at special price (2) exchange policy if any of the coy.

1) bought at normal price after trade in

2) i went back, they agreed to check for me

i wanted to check before they mounted, but the tyre was stacked too high. when installing my tyre, i went to draw $$. when i came back it was already done. was too engrossed admiring my rims, so paid up and left without checking.

only realised the date when i checked after i parked my car. anyway the shop is always busy one, so i assumed that their stock will be fresh.

anyway, its an uncommon brand and size, BF Goodrich g-Force Sport, 215/40/R17. so that might be the reason.

i'm hoping they change a new set for me. i'd even take the cheaper F1s if necessary.

u bought it under special offer? if not, e taya is a bit on e old side [:|]

nope, normal price after trade in. [:(]

if i knew it was old stock i wouldn't have wanted it. assumed they have fresh ones since their turnover is high.

i guess so. i thought something was wrong as before i went to withdraw $$, i saw the boss mount 1 of the tyres to the rim. when filling up with air, the rubber didn't "pop" into place and hug the rim like those they've installed on other cars. they had to manually use machine to pull out the tyre in order for it to fit.

so i guess it is really unsafe. [sweatdrop]

It is difficult to make a Man understand anything especially when his salary expect him not to understand anything.

yep, they have indicated they will remedy the situation [nod]

what is the most tolerable age of new tyres? 6 mths, 1 year, 15 mths?

this is not a black shop.. think its a genuine oversight. they don't normally stock this tyre. they get it on indent basis.
