Freebies to bargain.

1st time buy car.

going to sign my papaer to buy car.

the PI give me the freebies as below:

1: Sport Rims

2: Leather Seat

3: Solar Film

4: Window Visor

5: DVD player

6: Reverse Camera

7: Reverse Sensor

 

Do i miss out of any to squeeze from them?

I rather take zero freebies and cash discounts, then can go outside and find reliable installers to fit the things you want for you.

 

Too many stories of improperly working things, and missing freebies promised but not given to you.

 

If you choose to take these freebies make sure it is written in black and white, down to the brand and model if applicable.

 

But make no mistake about it, these aren't free freebies. You're paying for it without realizing it, its been worked into the overall price already.

Actually we are paying for the freebies.

 

When I collected mine, the SE only gave me SGD10 worth of petrol...

 

Sigh....but something better than nothing..

 

He at least made sure he kept all his promises though...

I'd probably do the same unless the dealer is offering options that can't be installed outside the showroom.

Ask for cash & full tank petrol. Freebies which are car accessories could be standard items already included in your package price, not really 'free'.

 

1st time buying? PI could be using discounted scrap COE rebate paper to offset your new car coe, ask for more cash.

Good that you managed to get some freebies. the next step is to give them all up and ask for cash discount.

 

eg,

Sport rims don't want, discount $500.

Leather seats don't want, discount $600.

 

...and so on.

 

then go outside and do yourself.

U better be specific of the brand n type the PI give u. My PI show me the show car wif 15" sports rim when I sign contract. Then delivery of car wanted to give 14" sports rim. Written on contract was sports rim but never state size. I make noise with him every single day till he "compromise" and delivered with 15" sports rims.

 

Here is my advise:

 

1: Sport Rims - state size in contract

2: Leather Seat - state type of leather and colour in contract

3: Solar Film - state type of film used

4: Window Visor - state oem or original

5: DVD player - state brand n does it come wif LCD screen

6: Reverse Camera - state type of camera, whether wide angle type

7: Reverse Sensor - state 2 button, 4 button or stripe type
