Well, it's made in Japan. According to a reliable source, the Perodua Nautica is priced around RM89k. We cannot compare a car manufactured in Boleh land Vs Sashi mi. QC for Japs car are high and you have to factor in the labour cost as well.

As I got quite alot of pals who drives myvi and the feedback is that the car constantly need to go back to the workshop for defects that are still under warranty. Imagine a 6mths myvi, need to change head lamps, disc brake ect ect. That suggest the QC is not up to standard as conmpared to Japan.

For what I know, Japanese seek for close to perfections for cars manufactured. [sunny]

I think it is not the QC issue. It would be the local supplier part quality problem. Cause a lot of MyVi part is sourced local in MY. Think the supplier need to beef up their part quality.

Difficult for local supplier to beef up their quality, because lack of competition :

- local MY car needs local MY parts to enjoy tax/duty benefits.

- limited local suppliers in MY, as MY is not a big car production base. Thailand is.

- So even if Q is bad, MY car manufacturers lan lan still have to buy from them.

- Unlike Thailand, there are many more part suppliers and can be replaced easily.

- most deadly, deal in MY can be closed via corruption ... [lipsrsealed]. Why need to improve Quality ?

- more bad quality parts, more repeat purchase isn't it ? So good for part manufacturers what !

For me I feel the Terios 7 seater pricing is ok. The OMV is about $17000 and above. For Japan 7 seater at this pricing, I can only think of the Sienta. However, I'm not very receptive towards the design of the car as compared to the Terios.
