we have hear many stories of pple cheating $$ in IU based car park. Today is my turn witnessing one!

Was exiting Suntec CP this afternoon at abt 5.40pm, behind me was this dark green, prev. generation BMW, a rather long one too, probably a 7 Series. And he was sticking real close to me ... i was like hey another ass fetish fella ??

Then as my car clears the IU, it seems that the barrier refuse to go up and deduct( though my IU + cashcard are both OK) then abt 10 sec later, the barrier raised and true enough that BMW stuck real close to my rear and joined me in the exit.

From my rear view mirror i saw the barrier came down 1/3, detected you and it went back up again... YOU carpark cheat ! You *GU 7io2 !!!

Shame on you !

Neutral Newbie

Suntec Carpark has upgraded their recording system.

Using the technique you described, the system will not have record of the BMW leaving the carpark (only entry).

If the culprit is a repeat offender, the system will actually record a re-entry. Its upto the management to determine the limit they would bear with this kind of cheats as with these records (IU no.), they can seek legal actions (LTA to provide the owners' particulars).

maybe the car too long, thus the barrier didn't go down fully when it sense the head..

at times, the barrier also stay up when I drive up (ok.. personal

perference" to stick close to car infront [:p] ).. but the system also deduct money from my cash card leh..

Just thought of an idea. The carpark would need to have 2 barriers, first car need proceed to clear the barrier twice. When 1st car at the 2nd barrier, the 2nd car will be held back at the 1st barrier.

In this way, the carpark can ensure that only one car moves over at a time, and there is not enough space for any tailgaters to get free parking.

ah ... but the capital cost to implement that to catch offenders would never see break even point .. hahaaha . just giro everything case closed . no detection at exit ? $ 35 flat rate ... all scared dont dare to cheat man ...

i guess that explains why i took a loooooooooooong time for the barrier to get raised, while i exiting as then he was already ass-rimming me [laugh] and the system kinda "detected" an "extra" vehicle ?
