On transit now at Dubai airport (Emirates Lounge) to Tehran and supposedly 2nd biggest city in Iran, Massad (one of the holiest cities in mideast) for a couple of days. [knife]

Stress. Will post some pics later.

But at least company let me fly business class. [sweatdrop]

hehe.. first time mah! But kinda exciting.

Be venturing even to Iraq pretty soon, even Afghanistan.

I will be travelling also to Turkey, Moscow within the year.

In the chemical business but I also have my other part time biz in construction & project consulting. [thumbsup]

Venture to places like this maybe can help me get my dream Ferrari. [laugh]

In the meantime, try to earn mileage taking biz class as much as possible first. [smash]

How do you work for a company (which is paying for your airline ticket), and also run your part-time biz?

Sorry, curious and interested to set up 2nd line for myself soon; kind of insurance against unreasonable employers [:)]

the customers are the same as I am exploring to work with certain trading houses in mid east area.

Eventually, they will be my gateway to contacts there.

I have already have strong links in SEA but am really exploring mideast since it is quite new and unexplored (or rather most people tend not to explore but rather go to saturated SEA or China markets).

The other gold mine is really INDIA & RUSSIA. Be looking into that soon.

I get commission for my part time work as a consultant for many equipment suppliers from China, Taiwan, etc.

if work properly, such work can be managed. [sly]

27yrs ago...wow...u must be an old bird lipsrsealed.giflaugh.gif just kidding hope u don't take it to heart.

frankly speakg, it is wonderful to listen to experiences, see pictures of pple going to "exotic places" that the average pple won't go to in this lifetime even for leisure plus even if one has the financial ability to do so.

i managed to come across pictures of north korea and find it an eye-opening event.

anyway, you rather daring to continue on yr journey.

i find it scary when my brother shared with me his journey to papua new guinea. very sweatdrop.gif

Teheran is now like an off-the-beaten track tourist destination, so it is just about as dangerous (or not) as any of these destinations. Just make sure your passport do not have any stamps from israel, else you won't get a friendly reception [laugh]

Nice!!! The only adventures I had were

1) Accident on icy road outside Chena Hot Springs at sub -10 degrees C without warm clothing but a full tank of petrol. Stranded throughout the night but kept the engine running.

2) A very harrowing encounter with guards in Karachi (will not reveal details here anyway)

hehe..finally back from Iran. Pics coming up soon!

Did u know that Iran produces 1,000,000 cars per year! And about 50% of it is OEM KIA, made by local car coy called SAIPA.

The other 50% is held by Iran Quadro who also does OEM for Peugeout, Renault, etc.

BTW, I am in the SQ lounge now waiting for my virgin flight on the A380 to Tokyo. [thumbsup]
