Fastforward Neutral Newbie June 12, 2003 Share June 12, 2003 Here is a picture of a S80 Wood Dash.... extra " wood " ( synthetic veneers ) trimmings. It covers the AC sills, gear shifter etc. See picture. Nice or too much?? ↡ Advertisement
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie June 12, 2003 Share June 12, 2003 Too much Plus such sticker type would bulge considerably so it's quite unsightly up close
Hc1883 Neutral Newbie June 13, 2003 Share June 13, 2003 Hi Fastforward, If it's the beige trim interior, I think it'll look quite good. If it's the grey/black trim, then I would think that the wood trim will not really standout. And as Turbobrick has mentioned, if it's the stick-on type, it would look ugly when the trims starts to "bulge" out.
Fastforward Neutral Newbie June 13, 2003 Author Share June 13, 2003 Hi TB n HC 1883 I thought it was too much too, however these are not stick on types but moulded synthetic wood veneers that will wrap around the shape contours of the dash. It is 3 dimesional and from the supplier " would give an OEM factory look " I actually would not mind a couple of items but the parts are not sold seperately. Also not seeing the actual thing makes it hard to determin the actual look and feel and also the colour match.
Hc1883 Neutral Newbie June 15, 2003 Share June 15, 2003 Hi Fastforward, Have you seen the brushed aluminium strips found on the facelifted S80? Saw it at SM Motors over the weekend and thought they looked good and went well with the black leather interior of the car. Go check it out and let us know what you think about it. Fastforward Neutral Newbie June 16, 2003 Author Share June 16, 2003 Hi Hc1883 I saw the new S80. The part I like best is the instrument dash. Unfortunately this cannot be changed onto older models.

Hc1883 Neutral Newbie June 17, 2003 Share June 17, 2003 You're right. I like the new instrument panel on the facelifted S80 too! But I understand from my SE that the blue instrument panel on the facelifted S80 is only available on either the 2.5T or T6 model and that the 2.0T model does not come with the blue lighting for the instruments. Not sure how true this is though.......
Fastforward Neutral Newbie June 17, 2003 Author Share June 17, 2003 I believe the 2.0T is no longer available and is now replaced by the 2.5T The T6 is now an executive model and the rear is a strict 2 seater.
Hc1883 Neutral Newbie June 17, 2003 Share June 17, 2003 (edited) Hi Fastforward, The 2.0T S80 is still available from SM Motors. If I'm not wrong, the current price with COE is approx. S$168K. The 2.5T is a new engine addition in the facelifted S80 range. I believe the 2.5T replaces the previous 2.4 litre that was available in the S80. The 2.5T is currently going at approx. S$178K with COE. This is the version that comes with the blue lighting for the instrument panel. The T6 is currently not available yet. The T6 Executive is a more luxurious version of the S80 T6. Not sure which version of the T6 SM Motors plans to bring in though. Edited June 17, 2003 by Hc1883
