As usual,got to look forward for next season .everytime the starts of the season looks promising,but come to mid ,everything goes down. lets see any players worth staying and which new players to get for RB.by the way,sad to say,riise got to go.....

First, they need to replace RB. Then there will be a need for a massive clear out of the players.

 

I dun like rotation at this kinda extend. Somehow, I find Everton games more entertaining to watch. Even Man City played a more entertaining game last Saturday if not for Torres to spoil their night.

i agree.but dunno y pool supporters over there like RB so much.mayb they wanna give him more time.but if u realise...RB did stopped his rotation in de 2nd half of de season.he did change a few players...but not as bad as de beginning.so mayb he has dropped his policy a little.

 

ok...for de players i wanna see go...from de back - get a better 2nd choice keeper to put pressure on reina.dat botak really gives me heart attack sometimes wif his flapping at crosses.den risse.no form for entire season.too bad aurelio always injured.hyppia should only play in de little cup games.midfield - alonso.time for him to go.or...don put him 1st 11.make him play cup games also.striker...mayb voronin.he made a gd start...but somehow couldn't keep it up.

 

for where i wanna see improved - all positions.get another gd ctr back.get a left back in place of risse.right still ok.midfield...get both side wingers.pennant is ok at times...we need consistent player.n babel?...sometimes i dunno wat is he playing.central...gerrard n mascherano.mayb de rumours pool buying barry is true.den its gd.dat guy should play in big club.for strikers - get 2 more gd ones.kyut is jus a headless chicken.n i tink he play right mid better where he can run all he wants.crouch...i like him.but he jus don get enuf chances.

Yes Kuyt is a headless chicken. His legs too short lah - runs like a 1.0L car with 14" rims -> wheels spin v fast but ultimately lose out in pace

yes,agree with u especially with peter crouch .he juz didnt get enough chances 2 play .some ppple dun like him cos he might look stiff and slow.in fact he score crucial goals and he can distract or pull in DF to mark him and create space for the rest of the team mates .i would like to see David Villa cumin n combine with torres .they need to find more creative midfielders and most important find a good coach.they SHOULD keep possesion of the ball,coz the way they control the ball,its not like arsenal,man u n even worse chelsea.everytime took the ball,1 min later ball ends up with opponents .

Lets not get ourself so boiled down with predictions of what will happen next season. Most important, what happen during the next few months leading to August 2008 is important as both the owners (Amercian) should get themselves right first.

 

Those Yankies don't care what happen to the club. What they are interested is whether they can make $$$$. With the US$ keep sliding, its a matter of time they will crack....

 

For, my only wish is that the Gulf group buy over the shares from both the yankies and this might turn Liverpool into greater heights.......

Needs 2 wingers, 1 each of defender/goalkeeper/striker. English game, the goalkeeper must command the 6 yards goal area, every time got crosses swing in, I dare not think they can cope.

Good List. All my favourites to go, add Kurt coz he is a striker who cannot really score or assist. He is not a winger either coz he cannot take on players. He is ok player but not good enough for Liverpool.

 

The only real headless chicken we ever had was called Milan Baros.

 

Gerrard and Torres are the only decent players we have now...

Ok. My take.

 

GK: Though Reina has been good, but he's not the type who gives the defense the confidence with his constant "flapping". We might need one world class GK, like Cech or VDS.

 

Defenders:

Riise has to go.

Our CM pairing should be Carra and Agger (look at how our early season form with this pairing till injury rules Agger out)

Syktel still quite prone to individual errors, but with potential. Verdict still open.

IMO, our wing backs can't really make it, so change!

 

Midfielders:

Alonso has to go (looks like he has lost the passion or drive compared to his 1st 2 seasons). Keep Gerrard, Mascherano. We are lacking in one creative midfield maestro (someone like Kaka, or Messi). Just one of these, and we will unlock defences and gone with the boring brand of football they are playing now. Then add 1 more winger who can deliver quality crosses every game (Pennant quite erratic, not sure if we should sell him though). Kuyt has to go (he is not brought in to deliver crosses for goodness sake!!!). Bernayoun would be a good squad player.

 

Forwards:

Keep Babel and Torres.

Sell Crouch and Voronin.

Try to buy E'to or Drogba (kind of like him, as he reminds me of Heskey, doing all the dirty work in front and scoring).

kuyt's value is intangible.... its extremely important to keep pressure at the top. and kyut does this best... he is useful against strong passing team

Alonso maybe unless we can get some better to replace him.. (he's not the same anymore)

Just hope that the Dubai guys buy over Liverpool and bring the whole club to another level. Maybe it's time to change the selection of players and the style of play (lesser long passes) - changing RB might help? And I simply cant understand why he likes to put Lucas in the game, he simply CMI to me. As for Benayoun, he's skillful no doubt but physically weak, a little bit of body contact and you'll see him flying/losing control. Only Gerrard and Torres, are more consistent.

There has always been a keeper crisis in Liverpool for many many years, after Bruce there wasn't any great keepers. Reina is a good keeper but lack the commanding presence in front of the goal.

 

Agger is injury prone, and skytel is error prone. Carra is tough like Ferdinand.

 

Alonso really lost his touch, hope he can pick up from where he left next season. Bernayoun is the kinda creative player that we shoud have, but he needs to put on more weight. Joe Cole is what I hope he can become. Pennant is a joke.

 

Babel needs more team play. I think he can do well. I wouldn't want Drogba in the team, his play acting will disrupt the flow of the team.

 

Barry would be a good buy. He can defend and he attacks in Villa, similar to Gerrard. If possible, I would love to see Tim Canhill although the Blue side of Liverpool will kill me.

 

Liverpool really need to get real wingers and another quality striker. It used to be a one man team (Gerrard), now its Gerrard and Torres. Not good enough for top 2.

If Kuyt has better finishing, I would agree he is good value for the team. I take into account that chances he had and didn't score. We must never be a one man goal scoring team.

Goalkeepers

Itandje has to go. He has never been convincing in goal.

 

What are the chances of Scott Carson remaining in Liverpool? If we can't keep him, we need to get a decent cover. David Martin is too young to be 2nd choice.

 

 

Defenders

Risse can't defend, can't shoot. Sell him. We need a quality left back, though Insua looks promising on the left (especially for the reserve team), he needs more games. Aurelio is nothing but a squad player.

 

Finnan probably got 2 more good years. I don't see Aberloa as a quality replacement, so we need to keep an active lookout for the rightback position as well.

 

We are pretty good in centre defence.

 

 

Midfielders

While Alonso is worth > 10m, better sell him. He is no longer the Alonso 4 years ago. Pennant also can go. Otherwise, I am pretty happy with the midfield.

 

 

 

Forwards

Kyut and Voronin, please go. Crouch can give us another dimension in attack if he is willing to be a squad player. (Unlikely though!)

 

I love the way Babel is playing while he is on form, so am looking forward to better performance from him next season.
