core 2 is a dual core processor.

Unless you are comparing Core2Duo vs Pentium D (both are dual core processors), then i would say Core2Duo is better as its the series that replaces the Pentium D.

Duo core if one do not need so much multi-tasking.

If need to then get Duo 2 Core.

Between the 2 still have choice of the CPU speed 1.4 - >2.0. FSB spd etc need to consider.

core2duo and duocore are different... c2d is a more advanced in terms of chipset and for multi-tasking both oso can, but pls look at the L2-cache to differ from those very good for multi-tasking and good for multi-tasking...

generally c2d is better, but dun get those low end c2d...

now there is quad-core in the market for quite few mths already...

Sala person, I'm not the TS [:p]

Yea [thumbsup] C2D is definately better as it is also more efficient and saves power. Thats y i got the C2D over the pentium D 1 year ago. Got the 4300 due to its exceptional overclocking capabalities [sly][sly][sly]

There are still small time vendors that try to mislead pple by selling Pentium D as it is also dual core to pple who are not aware of the differences.
