Patch hole after remove spoiler

Hi,

 

Any ideal wat to do with the hole after remove spoiler?

 

1) Patch and spray paint how much?

 

2) Use the nice screw to cover up will get rusty?

 

Care to share which is beta?

haa i use those aquarium sealant thingy to block and waterproof the hole and then use white tape to cover it, my car is white.

abit ugly lah but near then can notice.

You can plug the holes with a rubber grommet, they cost less than $1 a pair from hardware shops.

 

The contour of the hole might show up again after a few months if you putty and respray, constant stress from expansion will also cause putty to crack.

Exactly!!!

 

The proper way is to tack weld a small sheet of sheetmetal from below, then seam weld from above, sand it flat then putty and spray.

i have friends who did theirs at slightly lesser than 140 bucks if i am not wrong.instead of using putty , its welded , sand smooth and respray entire boot.2 of my buddies just had their imprezas done .might check it out with them where and anyone interested can pm me i will try to provide the contacts.

 

oh ya , dun bother with those "putty patch" and spray type.after a short period of time,the patched part will look "sinked" in.i personally had this bad experience before.
