Hi All,

I came across the other thread for Latio FC with people saying light footed may not be a good thing as expected for people running on CVT at the low end..

Instead it actually drink more petrol due to unable to hit the upshift rpm under CVT comparing to reving alittle more at the low end to allows CVT to kicks in..

Anyone experiencing or care to share about your experience for 1.2xg running on CVT?

Its overall a nice ride,

- its 1.2cc only, lesser for insurance & road tax,

- with keyless and digital aircon control,

- due to it being PI, the agents would have it install gps with reverse camera to attract the first hand owner

- foldable rear sits give u more space for shopping spree & large items purchase like bicycle, tv, mirrrors etc.

Some short-comings:

- a louder engine noise as compare to other models of swift due to our lag of power, but u will get use to it soon, or else you can try pump V-Power.

- Due to it being Swift with CVT engine it uses a much expensive ATF, a tin cost abv $200-$220, which is like 2 times much expensive than the normal ATF, you need to change it every 40,000 mileage, so it depends if you are those that drove alot, I drive 5days a wk from Sengkang-Orchard, plus mild usage on wkend, 40k mileage at 3yrs considering it at the lower end.

hi. just got the car. i must say it has a smooth transmission. anyways, where do you send the car for servicing for the ATF? another issue is the pretty noisy radio reception(which i believe is due to the japanese radio frequency). any idea of how to overcome the matter apart from getting a new head unit etc?

Well being a lady driver, I do not have the knowledge to talk or know what's required for the servicing so my dad reccommend me to Autobac. As reccommended, the staff there are nice and patient to answer my thousands of queries on

- what type of checks are done during each servicing

- what are the available brands of engine oils, why some people prefer to pay more/less on different brands of engine oil.

- which batteries are better? & that theirs have 1 yr warranty but it cost 20-30% more for batteries at there than a random honest workshop out at ubi.

*plus you can see your car while servicing from their showroom

Regarding your headset, if it is the type that has GPS/iPod/usb/DVD player/reverse camara type, it's normal that the radio is kind of not as clear as those normal ones, it's it's shortcoming of these multiplier function headset that are installed at least 2-5yrs ago.
