May I know what is the minimum height required for a child to wear a seat belt without the need of a booster seat?

Thanks.

That's why I'm trying to find one that is good enough. I don't really like booster seat. It just raises the height. It's the seat belt that I'm more concern with.

In Europe it's quite easy to find as most parents there will put their children in children car seats. In Singapore, it's not that easy to get a good one meant for older children because everybody just buy the booster seats.

You can go to kiddy palace to take a look. They have various type of child seats.

My son @ 4YO already on booster seat liao. Normally "upgrade" from child seat will be booster seat liao unless "hybrid type" which hardly can find unless you go to specialist shop. I can't even find in MotherCare shop.

Shun Li's Baby Hyperstore has a decent range of Group I+II+III child car seats (9kg to 36kg).

I bought Cybex Pallas from them.

Thought of using that too but booster seat merely let the child seat higher. It still use the same seat belt that adults use and it's not that secure. My son always put the seat belt across his chest under his armpit because it's always touching his chin which he didn't like. Buckled up like that is as good as no seat belt.

This will help...

any adults below 1.5m drive need booster seat?

If I'm not wrong, the law is below 135cm require child seat/booster..

Get a booster seat with back rest like Maxi-cosi Rodi.

You can adjust the height of the back. The angle of the seatbelt goes with the height of the back.

u can try this child seat.

quite a few combinations possible with the safety straps.

if the child out grown the straps, can use normal seat belts too.

the head rest is adjustable and dun worry about the seat belt 'cutting' the neck/chin of the child. there is a 'loop' for the belt to go in.

just my 2 cents.
