Akula Turbocharged April 30, 2008 Share April 30, 2008 I went to Performace Motors last week to ask about the BMW 1 series. It comes in 3 versions. The Cabrio, the Hatchback and the Coupe. Price ranges from $116K to $125K. It will be available in May. From $116K to $125K? Dun think the Cabrio price so cheap.
Coolad 5th Gear April 30, 2008 Share April 30, 2008 I find that BMW series interior sama sama one leh. Whether is it worth that money have to depend on the buyer's POV. actually to be fair its driver's orientated interior... same as Honda always get criticized for being sparse... but infact its geared towards simplicity, all knobs and dials are easily acessible to the driver... Anyone got invited to the launch party?

Rm2s 5th Gear May 3, 2008 Share May 3, 2008 One thing you have to realise is that for life style car like a cabriolet, be prepared to pay premium for it. I think at 148K, it gives more people access to open top motoring in SG. What are the competition for the 120 cab? now, price and performance aside, these are the one I can think of A3 Cab - coming, but don't know when, you can trust Audi to price this at a premium also 207 cc 307 cc Astra Twintop Megane CC Colt CC If die die must have a open top car, which would u go for? I have seen a few of them, to me, at this point in time, the 120 Cab looks the best. Very good build quality and it feels like a premium car for sure
Rickster 5th Gear May 3, 2008 Share May 3, 2008 So far i've not seen any Colt CC before...I think i'll just go for the Alfa Spider If not, the 307CC
Wolfverine Twincharged May 3, 2008 Share May 3, 2008 Not sure abt the specs of 120 cab, but at the price of $150k or more, can also consider the VW EOS - performance wise better than the megane cc, twintop & 307cc.
Porker Turbocharged May 3, 2008 Share May 3, 2008 At 148k, the only open top I will go for is the S2000
Rm2s 5th Gear May 4, 2008 Share May 4, 2008 Eos is good value, very good space front and back, but to me, it just does not evoke the emotion that a Cab should be evoking. The front is not exciting, infact, the headlight is just too over style to a point where it looks weird. The interior fells like a regular Golf, not saying its a bad thing but it's a Cabriolet, should have make it a more special place to be in.
Rm2s 5th Gear May 4, 2008 Share May 4, 2008 Good choice on the S2000. But those cab I listed are mostly 4 seaters, or they could at least sit 4 people. I personally like the MX-5 (and now the 1-series cab .. hehe), still cannot find the money to own either.
