Watzup Neutral Newbie January 13, 2002 Share January 13, 2002 i use turtle wax wash and wax shampoo. does this mean i don't need to wax as i get new wax after i wash every week? quite shortcut way to maintain wax right? ↡ Advertisement
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie January 13, 2002 Share January 13, 2002 Imagine the wash and wax offering you a thin film of wax that washes off after a single rainfall. These wash and wax are purely gimmicks as a decent car shampoo is suffice to rid of dirt/dust to give a decent shine. But of course the paintwork must be cared for before any shine or positive results can be seen. I'll recommend using a quick detailer for weekly "top up" of protection and preserving the wax longer rather than just wash and wax shampoos. Also, using a carnuaba wax will increase shine compared to synthetics but synthetic wax/sealants last longer. Examples: Carnuaba : Zymol, Forumla 1, Mother's Syn: Zaino, Eagle 1, 3M
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie February 15, 2002 Share February 15, 2002 Guys, what is the car shampoo U've used which produces the most foam (suds)? I've tried Turtle wax, Mother's, Armor all and KIT. So far Mother's produce the most foam for me Why foam? Well the foam lifts the dirt off the car and prevents the dirt from scratching the surface so more foam merrier! Turbobrick Neutral Newbie February 16, 2002 Share February 16, 2002 Autoplus does servicing and some mod jobs as well. They are dealers for Mother's and Eibach springs. Prices are not the cheapest but guys there are friendly.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie February 16, 2002 Share February 16, 2002 If U have time to detail your car try the Mother's 3-step system. Pretty complete detailing regime. The clay bar pack is also one of the best around. I'll advise you to steer clear of the Mother's wheel cleaner as it's very acidic, for that try the 3M wheel cleaner instead (alkaline based). Cheers! Turbobrick Neutral Newbie August 15, 2002 Share August 15, 2002 Armor all is cheaper at $7+ from Carrefour for 1 litre. Volvo's shampoo can be used on all cars and it's $8 for 400ml. Eco friendly product and won't strip wax. ↡ Advertisement
