when taking out the old Koni, both front bump stop was crushed, pillow mount has sinked as well, roller bearings looks alrite.

rear still have the bump stop intact, however the pillow mount has cracked(cant be seen unless taken out)

normally lowered springs would give problems like that . are the monroes compatible ? Most of the shocks are not compatible with lowered springs . you'll be lucky if they last beyond a yr and a half

might as well hijack yr thread... [laugh][laugh]

I also roughly abt the same time with him changed my Monroes to hotbits adjustable coilovers

only got the pics of the new ones...

front (with cusco top adjustable pillow mounts installed)

Rear:

he dampings are adjustable via a knob @ the top of the strut...it has 40 points(or clicks) of adjustment...bad thing is that the height for the rear is non adjustable.... :(

verdict:

1.well worth the $$ spent as u can have the flexibility of having comfort when u want to and all out preformance on the track

2.u dont have to worry about the rear tyres scrubbing the fenders anymore when u have some fat arse guy or gal @ the rear seats as u can adjust it harder

3.car dosent feel as if its falling apart anymore and its so much more stable @ high speeds...

4.pillow mounts are noisy..if u can live with the noise...handling is spot on...

i'm not surprised on the early retirement of absorbers with lower springs...

even Tein coilovers, my fren had them replace in abt 9 mths time...with frequent track use as well...

Neutral Newbie

I'm new here and was wanting to ask, if that's the case for the suspensions... since TEIN is outta the question (Have heard some problems with it's squeaky rebounds after some mileage already), anyone got any opinion on CUSCO suspensions?
