Supercharged

lol i didnt even state the name of workshop. Just amuse that ppl find $20 labour cheap. And they are promoting it ^_^

Even go MX change oil also @ $12 also cheaper, though i nv use their service before.

Sorry, we (at least for me) didnt say they are cheap. I only say they are good for not BS to chop drivers' heads..... I even recommend the one next to this WS for drivers to check out.

for me, enquire b4 for labour to change engine mount. More ex (~20%) than some bigger workshop (those with a few branches). infact, the quote is one of the highest compared to some other workshops.

Sorry need some recommendation here as it's my first time going for servicing outside other than the AD.

My ride will be hitting 80000km soon and will be heading for servicing. My ride just finished the 5-yr warranty from BM and I have no intention to go back to BM.

Can anyone recommend a good and honest workshop for servicing around Tiong Bahru area? I have no leads in getting parts so will have to depend on workshop to sell it to me. Normally for such servicing with parts included roughly how much?

Thanks for any kind advice.

Just go to Ric-tat n get ur parts. Talk to the staff there and tell them. They will be able to tell u what parts u need. 80K should be major servicing, so u need to change :

1) lub oil filter

2) fuel filter

3) air filter

4) aircon filter

5) coolant

6) steering fluid

7) brake fluid

8) lub oil

9) check batt health

10) rotate n balance ur tyres

Go for bigger workshops like stamford tyres, Star or Comfort Delgro for peace of mind n bundled package.

I just did my servicing oil / filter chg + spark plug for $20. 20min job done :D

I wonder why the price increased so much in a month? [dizzy]

Was just there earlier today and quoted $20 just for oil change. + oil filter need to add additional $8. Spark plug is also another additional to that but didnt ask about this cost but likely in the range of about 5-8 bucks.

Anyhow since i specially made a trip there and lazy to go elsewhere i did engine oil + filter change, spark plug change, ATF oil chg and wheel rotation. took about 20 min. Service level was decent. I brought all my own stuff. Labour cost was $60...

Not expensive but no longer cheap(or i look like robert), maybe alot of people going there with their own oil eroding their profits. Will go somewhere else next time. perhaps will try for the shell station that hamburger recommended.

Any recommendation for cheap oil change service around Tampines? I will bring my own engine oil and oil filter. Thanks

Some owners of BMW & Volvo and Japanese top end cars even restore to bring along their own oil filter wrench as they fear the common type use by the shops just not able to perform and may damage the paper filter canister.
