Taiwan: 4D3N Taiwan Trip

hi,

 

i am planning a trip to taiwan for a 4d3n

 

first timer. dunnoe where to go.

 

i am thinking of staying at rainbow hotel.

 

any recommendation? or hotel and places of interest?

taiwan so big, which part u gg? why wanna choose go there chirp and guud and more friendler then taiwan... go china lah... ask Pee Sai... go DongGuan, Macau or Qingdao....

if possible, visit the 'sun moon lake - 日月潭', the view is simply awesome !

only left 1 day after traveling...

rainbow is alright but it will be pricey.

 

i usually stay in the vicinity of ximending, there are several 'fan dians' within 1km walk.

 

as a first timer u probably shld just stick to rainbow for convenience, and since its in ximending, that's a place of interest by itself already.

 

since you arnt spending much time there, i suggest u visit shihlin night market, wufenpu(for women shopping), city district SOGO(ask at mrt control station for directions) and taipei 101.

 

can also visit the underground shopping mall at taipei railway station area.

 

if you're a fast traveller, u might even have time to visit fishermen wharf up north near shihlin too.

dun stay in rainbow...

 

expensive...noisy....not convenient to bring luggage from main road to hotel...small rooms etc.

 

try Royal Castle...cheaper

i will be staying at the rainbow for my upcoming trip on may the 11th. location is rainbow hotels strong points, but there are 2 -3 hotels in ximending as well.

i see on map it is near taipei main station

2 days harbour at caesar

 

then midway do a displacement drill

 

then harbour another 2 day at rainbow to faciliate shopping

Can't help you here ..... I'm more of a food person and I don't know much about the hotels, I'm either staying at Hilton on company expense or at friend's tiny apartment :)

 

Taipei isn't that big, so I won't bother to change hotel just to facilitate shopping.

 

If you are a meat-dumpling fan, the DingTaiFung on XinYi Road is the ONLY outlet worldwide that serves their speciality mini-soup-dumpling, but ONLY on Saturday mornings between 9 to 10am.

Its convenenient..right in the middle of one part of town...but not where the most happening area is which is near 101.
