HELP!...Where/How to Transfer Muffler?

Bro's have some questions.

Hope the experienced bro's can help.

 

LTA Legal SuperSprint Muffler.

Buying 2nd hand from owner.

 

- Paying for removal & installation into my car

- Must go back to Jeep Chee to change? (as SS Authorised Distributor)

- Or is there anywhere cheaper it can be done?

- Can everything be done at Jeep Chee?

 

What is the procedure?

How much would each part cost?

 

1) Removal & Installation

2) Transfer? (From prev. owner to me)

3) LTA Approval? (Still necessary?)[/b]

Go back to the authorised distributor, let them dismantle & install onto your ride & get a installation cert from them

 

Think should cost you less than a 100 bucks for it.

 

Then bring your ride to any inspection centre, let them inspect, take photo submit to LTA then get a approval cert from them

As a safety measure, write a simple letter stating the transfer of the muffler from which A to B and subsequently A was scrapped/fitted with original muffler. Both owners of A & B sign on the paper.

 

Make sure you have the original cert of the muffler with the distributor stamp on it. If don't have, you will have problems at inspection later.

 

Yes, you still need LTA inspection and approval as the cert is specific to a veh's registration plate.

 

JC might charge you a useless "inspection fee" for proper installlation which i think is not necessary...but oh well
