List of carparks not fully ERP ready

Just to share with everyone and appreciate if you encounter those carparks that are not ready.

 

To prep drivers especially those not regular cos they might be caught unaware and do not have sufficient cash/cash cards around.

 

By ready, I would refer to either the ERP gantry up there for ages but you either have to slot your cashcard into the machine at point of entry/exit catching those drivers unaware or still the good old manual labour.

 

1) Tiong Bahru Plaza (to insert cashcard at machine upon entry)

2) Shaw Tower at Beach Rd (pay cash upon entry)

3) InContinential at Bugis (to insert cashcard at machine upon entry)

4) City Plaza (to insert cashcard at machine upon entry)

5) Orchard Towers (insert at both entry/exit)

6) AMK Drivethrough Macdonalds (insert at exit if parking exceeds 1hr)

Whether the ERP system is fully ready or not still need to pay right?

Points are in case you never encounter:-

 

Driver who see ERP carpark gantry like the one at Tiong Bahru, expect auto deduction but only to realise a little notice that say "plse insert cashcard". A snake will form especially on raining days cos driver will then hv to pull out their cashcard and then insert into the reader.

 

If this is not bad enough, sometimes you get crazy machine that spew out ticket though it is supposed to be ERP carpark like the one at Golden Shoe, go and pay ticket then it deduct again from my cashcard. Go to see carpark operator and then they says "sorry, machine short circuited. it is not supposed to issue ticket if u hv ERP in yr car".

 

Then there are those carparks who didn't bother to put a sign to insert cashcard at all.

 

So that's sum up my pts of starting this thread & pray u don't encounter honky tooty drivers who are behind you and don't understand if you encounter a kooky carpark system

The Tiong Bahru example, only the first car in the queue will be slow. Those behind will notice the car in front inserting the cashcard and will just follow. Call it monkey see monkey do if you like. And the first car will be slow by at most a few seconds. Don't think anyone is so kuku until don't realise need to insert for a few minutes right?

 

The Golden Shoe example, if already paid for the ticket, common practice is to pull the cashcard slightly out of the IU to prevent double charging. Quite a common sense thing.

agree w u but some idiots behind who dono will tink otherwise & start pusing their horns. so pray u don't encounter a cheemi or impatient fella who lacks observation skills.

 

as for the golden shoe, ticket paid, insert ticket and it still says insert cashcard. so hv to insert to get out of carpark then go n see operator. if u nvr encounter such technical probs, consider yrself lucky & don't presume pple lacked common sense when they shared their experiences. & i am grateful that i still hv some ounce of patience and observation skills & hardly use my horn unless the situation call for it cos i know it is very useless to horn & it serve no purpose when one encounter above situations.

Some of these ERP equipped car parks also damn jialat one... I had to drive damn close to the edge for the sensor to detect my IU unit...

Where did u get this info from?

 

Besides the open air CP which is just right in front of the hotel, the other CP would be the basement CP, which is being shared by the shopping centre too.

 

No need to insert cashcard unless u have a complimentary tix or are a foreign vehicle.

where? i go there n experienced the kooky system lor. was wondering how come so "mo ley tao". anyway, i tot the prob lies with my car but i saw cars coming in after me also kanna the same thing.
