Axela72 5th Gear July 4, 2009 Share July 4, 2009 (edited) You mean ppl twist their words to their car's advantage? See that all the time. Not necessarily vtec supporters, got other supporters as well. It's all biased, including you, can't you see? err....sorry i dont twist my words. As an auditor for more that 10 years and 6 sigma black belt trained, a profession in such career need to be netural, objective with no bias. Every words that quote must be based on fact, justification and objective evidence. Although I support Mazda, that is solely based on the car look and equip proved only. I totally agreed with their flaw on FC, poorer performance and crampy. space. However, if you based on those Honda supporter comments, even if the car got flaw, they will just override with "as long as it has VTEC"...........the world seem can be theirs (Honda) What I am coming from is that Honda supporter like to criticise other brand but not thiers even there is flaw in it. I own a Honda Ody. but i only like the looks of it, no MPV in the market comes close. the "V-TEC" is overhyped.
Friendstar Supercharged July 4, 2009 Share July 4, 2009 y still got people consider civic FD as performance? the vtec of the B series was not found in FD, u cant rev 8k anymore, no more vtec sound. no more 100hp/L. haiz still wan to vtec here vtec there. the only FD that can perform is FD2R. the rest of the FD are family car. understand or not? VTEC fans, it`s time to wake up..... people like to dream. its free to dream.
Friendstar Supercharged July 4, 2009 Share July 4, 2009 most amusingly, a few honda owners think that their V-tec functions like TURBO. when i "OPEN" my FD's v-tec, i can smoke everyone.

The new Ody model look very good, but in my opinion the previous model l(I think that is yr model) ook is not the best. I think Mark X Zio look may not loss out to the previous Ody model look. As for the "V-TEC," why so call overhyped still loss out to Mazda5 in on one the forum I posted with their video chip on MPV performance race? Shull Turbocharged July 4, 2009 Share July 4, 2009 Sorry I made you misunderstood. When i mentioned that Honda cars have expensive spare parts and maintenance is higher, I didn't mean modding. I meant original stock spare parts. I know Civic is the choice of most modders in the world. Heck, they even use it in Fast and Furious movie. Maybe it's a great mod due to the VTEC engine (in my opinion is a great piece of engineering work) but for the rest of the world who is not modding their Civics, the maintenance costs can be higher. I don't think you really know what I mean when I say overpriced. For the build and quality of a Civic, it's overpriced. BMWs and Mercedes are overpriced for different reasons. You can't put the two concept together. For people who want a Pt A to B car, a compact car would be enough. Or maybe they can travel using public transport. But when it comes to buying a car, it is a personal choice, a milestone in life, an achievement for some people I know, or fulfilling a dream. Point I'm trying to put through is, we should learn to respect other people's choice when they buy a car. I think I've checked my share of forums online. But if you are free, you can check what's the difference between Normal aspirated and supercharger engines. O think it's the core of Honda's and Nissan's engine. Both have their own beauty in their own ways :) there are lots of OEM parts all over the market and it's easy to find if one is willing to do enough research..to quote an example, one of the part in my aircon electrical system recently went bust, went to a workshop which quoted me original parts for $500..i refuse to pay and contacted one of the bros here to see whether he got lobang..end up, he found a freelance air con specialist and it cost me $150 for the same part.. As for the built quality, i don't see anything bad with the built quality of Honda cars, both in my ES and FD(both which i'm still using)..everything flush nicely with the part/panel beside it..the buttons don't feel cheap and is smooth with just enough damping so as not to feel too 'hard' to press/turn..and mind you, i've sat in my friend's old Merc E200 and his current E230 and also another friend's BMW 3-series.. Quantum 5th Gear July 4, 2009 Share July 4, 2009 Unforfunately...mine is 1.5: can enjoy its comfort oni, not its performance.... don't think it's bad choice, my friend dumped his 8 years old honda accord switch over to sylphy 2.0, declared both comfortable and power, sylphy2.0 wins over previous accord, plus amazing FC (11km/L over accord's 8km/L)

So, what's your point? You are trying to convince people that Honda parts can be cheaper if you research and find from outside workshop? Read me correctly as I meant Honda original parts not OEM... And wow! You've sat in a Merc E200, E230 and BMW 3 series! Congratulations! I'm so jealous! I only get to sit in a Merc Limo taxi if I'm lucky to flag one down! Dude, so your point is that the three have so-so build quality compared to Honda? Mind you, anyone can "sit" in a whatever-series car before. When you quote the lines, make sure you have a point. I'm not here to be biased to criticize on whatever car manufacturers. I'm merely putting my point through that it's a personal choice to get whatever make of the car. Why do you still not get the point? Just be more liberal and accept that it's personal preferences that makes us different.
