Mactan Island or Boracay for 4D3N getaway

I'm thinking of going to Philippines for a beach resort break but cannot decide between Mactan Island or Boracay.

 

Anyone been there before?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

If you prefer more on beach and sea activities, Boracay is good for you; an isolated white sand island away from civilization.

 

Mactan Island is within the perimeter of 2nd biggest City of the Philippines, Cebu City.

A varity of beaches and resorts you can choose and closer to City for other leasures and funs within 30-60mins drive. Good for night life, casino, food & many more. If you wish to drive 3 hours to southern part of Cebu Island where you can find big waterfalls and other popular diving resort too including the popular wild whale shark viewing area.

What about Davao. Another nice place to consider?

Silkair flies there direct.

I feel that the beach has to be importantly nice and clean.
