You can use Countif function.

Eg. In the formula bar put .... = countif (A1:A5, rule) where rule is whatever condition you want to put.

It will count the number of times the range A1 to A5 fulfills the rule.

Hope this helps.

Sorry about my message. know that its abit lag.

I was disconnect from the internet because I was traveling. When my post got through (when I was reconnected quite a long while later), I realized that you have already suggested Countit.

Hi.

Don't need so complicated. Can do without formulas.

Make sure your table has headers, then Just use pivot table.

Attached is file for ur reference.

Hijack this thread,

I also need some Excel help!!

I have a column of data in excel... and I need to invert them, as in reverse their order.

Such that the Row 1 data will go to the last and vice versa.

Any function for this? thks!

here's what i'll do.

Copy the set of data, paste special(select value, transpose) at another location, arrange the data to what your requirement, then copy and transpose again.

thks bro,

I hope I'm missing a point here, but transposing will only covert the column to row, the sequence still remains. I don't know how to invert the sequence ... hehe.
