Sofa seats in vans

hi fellow bro,

 

the no of vans with sofa seats at the back of the van is increasing... so i was wondering if the seats are actually legal and if not, wat's the penalty after being caught... most the vans at the bk haf a sticker of 5 pax at the back, so does dis means the sofa seats are legal?

how abt if they r passengers sitting on the sofa seats in the van? will the driver b charged if they are stopped by TP or ROV?

unlikely to be charged in court as offence would be compounded into a fine

legal but it's like sitting at the back seat of a car w/o seatbelt. and there can be no seatbelt.

 

just drive with due care if u intend to do that. speed limit 60 with pax at the back FYI

 

i've been there and done that. thankfully never tio stopped when i have passenger

 

depending on how things turn out, i have no qualms going back to that setup as i seldom carry passengers at the back. i drive car now
