Carlover76 Neutral Newbie March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 Brother, I would only recommend Bosch Aero Twin Frameless wiper if you really want to change as I have tried many China/Taiwan Frameless wipers but not satisfied with the results. It will either make a lot of squeaking noise or wiper will judder once a while but once used Bosch wiper, no such nonsense noise and juddering, it can last you easily 1-2 years time. Garlic 1st Gear March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 (edited) Is it made from silicon or rubber? Pretty sick of rubber wipers, car is parked outdoors all the time and they harden very quickly. Once that happens, the windscreen smear when it rains. Edited March 25, 2008 by Garlic
Cthulhu 1st Gear March 25, 2008 Author Share March 25, 2008 Irene / Carlover, yeah, i HATE the juddering effect. it's as tho the wiper just came or something. anyway, where do i get the BOSCH wipers? i was told they r 30bucks per piece, no? thanx! Rtth84 1st Gear March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 Bosch Aerotwin cost 80 per set before GST. price could have increased from a year ago. Using it now. wonder if its refillable?
Silhoutte Clutched March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 Yo bro, I use the twister silicon frameless wiper blades. Almost 6 mths already and no prob at all. It comes with 3 yrs warranty too. Overall very good product to recommend. I got them from Stamford Tyres. Cheers.
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 Brother, Bosch Aero Twin is made of normal rubber but it is of better quality compared to normal type as I have left my wiper always on my windscreen whether rain or shine, no problem at all. Carlover76 Neutral Newbie March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 Sorry that I don't recommend Silicon wiper though it may last longer than normal rubber wiper because of the silicon coating. Do you know what when the silicon wiper wipes across your windscreen, it will also coat a layer of silicon on your windscreen and the only problem with silicon wiper is that you cannot wipe your windscreen if it is too dry or it will judder. Always stick to the basic as wiper rubber is meant for uncoated windscreen as it will work well with each other, any other treatment will cause wiper to judder. It is best to purchase the Bosch wiper from the authorized distributor or dealer as some might sell cheaper but it might not be genuine. You can purchase from Carvolution in Ubi, it should cost you $75 inclusive of GST or you can buy direct from Bosch dealer, UTS Automotive also in Ubi, it should cost you $80 without GST instead. Boyboy 1st Gear March 25, 2008 Share March 25, 2008 my cheepo silicon wiper blade usually no juddering even with rainX leh. and i put quite alot of rainX but u are right that cannot wipe while dry cos the friction is damn good from my personal experience, i recommend silicon wiper as a more economical alternative if u are looking for stock wiper blade refills. never tried "exotic" wiper so no comments there. for me, stock with silicon blade works well.
