Subzro Neutral Newbie March 23, 2008 Share March 23, 2008 Semi slicks are like Toyo R888, Falken RT615... Not street legal... Good in what sense?? Dry?? Wet??
Luv_presea 1st Gear March 23, 2008 Author Share March 23, 2008 semi slicks not road legal? din know abt that.. good in dry and wet.. but think wet more impt..
Subzro Neutral Newbie March 23, 2008 Share March 23, 2008 For wet weather then dun need to use semi slicks lah... These tyres for track usage... Since u was on bridgestone, can try Potenza re-001... Successor for so-3...
Luv_presea 1st Gear March 23, 2008 Author Share March 23, 2008 is S-02 and S-03 good? still can find in the market? like the threading on those two though.. since semi slicks are illegal den i think i can drop that idea..
Abba Neutral Newbie March 24, 2008 Share March 24, 2008 Since you are on S-02, you'll love R-S2. great dry grip with good wet grip to beat. Semi will be overkill for street use also most have poor wet grip which would be a far cry from S-
Saabretooth 2nd Gear March 26, 2008 Share March 26, 2008 If I am not wrong, they don't make the S02 or S02As anymore. let alone S03 which stopped some time ago. RS2 are good tires. I like the value for money in terms of performance, grip, handling...etc only thing I don't like is the noise. everything else.. I like. some people say that it doesn't last long, but it lasted long for me though.
Iliketodrive Neutral Newbie March 26, 2008 Share March 26, 2008 semi slick very good dry, so good that, rs-2 or ad07 no fight at all. but wet u must drive very slow, very dangerous.
macrosszero Turbocharged March 26, 2008 Share March 26, 2008 (edited) Semi slicks are very noisy. Not for daily use. They aren't too scary in wet weather. There is one Yokohama A048 semi slick which because it comes standard on Lotus Elise, is considered road legal tire. On a track like Pasir Gudang they are worth about 15 seconds. Luv_presea 1st Gear March 27, 2008 Author Share March 27, 2008 i dun really mind noisy though.. cos i've driving a van which is pretty noisy even if i use quiet tyres..

macrosszero Turbocharged March 27, 2008 Share March 27, 2008 No, 15 seconds is the lap time difference between running semi slicks and regular treaded road tires, although the soft compound does mean it does not last as long as normal tires.
Luv_presea 1st Gear March 28, 2008 Author Share March 28, 2008 no problem bro.. thanks for the feedback of AD-07.. ↡ Advertisement
