Elfenstar 3rd Gear March 22, 2008 Share March 22, 2008 The main purpose of alarms is to prevent vehicles from being stolen. There's almost nothing that works for break-ins. At least not for something as small as a car, bar surveillance cams in carparks.
Elfenstar 3rd Gear March 22, 2008 Share March 22, 2008 I can't presume why they aren't doing it, but ah well our govt is slow in many things that won't affect their popularity.

Chris80 Neutral Newbie March 22, 2008 Share March 22, 2008 I also take out my cashcard cover liao ever since that time a lot of cars got smashed during CNY time. That time, I was considering getting a phone holder to hold my phone but then decided against it. Scared that others thought there is GPS system inside my car drawer. Elfenstar 3rd Gear March 22, 2008 Share March 22, 2008 Vibration sensor with GSM. My car fitted with one. GSM inside car will call my HP when triggered. that would work... but damage would already have been done... a proximity sensor would work, but then everyone will complain abt the noise whenever they park next to you. Thats why i say surveillance cams in carparks are the only way to go.
Apollo 1st Gear March 23, 2008 Share March 23, 2008 The main purpose of alarms is to prevent vehicles from being stolen. There's almost nothing that works for break-ins. At least not for something as small as a car, bar surveillance cams in carparks. tat wud b in the past. to prevent cars fr being stolen/ towed, u will need tilt sensors and immobilizer which is not found i n most chirpo alarm system. a guud alarm system will detect and inform u of an intrusion on asap basis, and works to deter losses. the common alarm system has ZERO detection on glass breakage, which is why most theives r getting away. whilst most pple fault alarm as giving false alarm, it may b the complacency and misguided belief but the alarm cud hv gone off on a bloated attempt. ↡ Advertisement
