Singtel/starhub Get TV Rights for UEFA

Was reading straits time, Eurosport say they are negotiating a new deal with Starhub.

 

So if they negotiate it will no longer be exclusive deal Liao.??

 

As i was saying i am not sure if it is an excusive deal in the first place. It could be that ST just didn't want to sign on their channel due to low demand (i never watched ES before). Whereas other sports channels like FOX Sports is carried by both ST & SH.

 

They may negotiate a higher price with SH due to them being more "desirable" now that they have UCL. And of course ST may not also want to sign them on. If SH want them exclusively then they will have to pay more but have to allow ST to cross-carry. I guess we have to wait and see how things pan out, right now it is anyone's guess. I am only with SH Sports group cos of their "in house" sports channels Supersports 1 to 4 (Ch 201 to 204) cos they carry many of the ATP tennis matches which MioTV does not have (please correct me if i am wrong). WWE is also in this group.

That's what I mean. Singtel was saying they might.

But think depend on cost.

 

Imagine they ask very high and SH and st is not willing to bite.. Hor Hor... How are they going to show... I hope they don't bite.

Uefa is at odd timing anyway.
