1.9 TDI PD DPF/77kW - Turbocharged diesel engine, 250Nm, 190 Km/h, 12.5s(0-100km/h) - Manual 5 speed

2.0 TDI PD DPF/103 kW - Turbocharged diesel engine, 320Nm, 207 Km/h, 10.2s(0-100km/h) - Manual 6 speed / Automatic 6 speed DSG

Steering wheel comes with built in volume control, paddle shift (Yes paddle shift - for higher spec models), telephone control.

But the current tax structure is still not attractive enough, hiaz ..... still ended up more ex. road tax than the petrol version.

Yes the TDIs looks nice, I want a TDI too, easier on the pocket for diesel but tax has to change first.

if i were picking a petrol model, i'd go for the 1.8TSI, since it is the only one with DSG, however, if the govt reviews the tax on diesels, i'd definately get a TDi...

 

wish the 1.4TSI came with DSG, especially the 170bhp turbo+supercharged version, like the GT...hmmm....does the GT come with DSG?

Yes the VW GT 1.4 TSI Super/Turbo charged is the DSG model. Have a pal who drives it, because of the weight of the car it flies......the New Superb will be heavier but I am suprised that they put in a 1.4 but it is only with manual.

 

The 2.0 TDI CR has massive torque at 350 Nm.....wow

Price for base model will start at EUR 23,000.00 (SGD 50,000.00) so by the time is lands, I wonder how much will it be.

 

I wonder what is the specs of the base model to command such a price.

FWD so much torque how to launch without torque steer and wheelspin?
