Silklee 3rd Gear March 18, 2008 Share March 18, 2008 My civic comes with Vkool installed. Anyway I think there is an air bubble or water bubble on the windscreen on the inside of my car. It is not a scratch or chip in the glass as it feels smooth to touch and I cant clean it off. Is there anything I can do about it? The vkool brochure says any water bubbles will disappear in 4 to 10 weeks. I have my car for about 4 weeks now. Anyone has any experience on this? Anything I should do? ↡ Advertisement

Perrier 1st Gear March 18, 2008 Share March 18, 2008 (edited) You need to park your car under the hot sun. I had lots of bubbles after installation, I was told to 'sun' the car. "luckily", my company carpark are those open-air ones so the bubbles disappeared gradually after 3-4 weeks. Relax. Just park your car on top of the MSCP on weekends. Silklee 3rd Gear March 18, 2008 Author Share March 18, 2008 I park in the open air when at work. Still there after 1 very hot day out in the open le. Maybe need more sun? Is it reasonable to assume that it is the fault of the vkool because 1. it is smooth to touch 2. I cant clean it off 3. It is on the inside of the car (seems so to me because when I look from the outside, it seems
Perrier 1st Gear March 18, 2008 Share March 18, 2008 The bubbles will slowly reduce in size and eventually disappear. You can mark out certain bubbles and monitor the size. These bubbles is trapped within the solar film, cannot rub off one. Initially I thought it was bad installation, called them and was told to wait a while longer. After a while I also too lazy yo monitor but now all bubbles are gone. There was a thread somewhere concerning bad installation of Vkool not too long ago. Car also from Kah motor. Do a search, you should find it.
