Apollo 1st Gear June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 achilles tendonitis is at the back of the heel while plantar fascittis, discomfort can start at the bottom of the heel or later in the middle of foot (more towards the side of the big toe )where the plantar fascia is thickened. The cause is not always identified but it tends to recur muahahahaha.. how is the power of L&Z. finally got chance to post...

Albeniz Turbocharged June 13, 2008 Author Share June 13, 2008 (edited) Is a common ailment, or is it a precursor to something more serious? I am starting to walk like Mas Selamat. I don't want to die. Edited June 13, 2008 by Albeniz
Apollo 1st Gear June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 http://www.heel-spur-treatment.com/ 1. What is a heel spur?[/url] While the term heel spur may create the impression of a sharp bony projection on the bottom of the heel that pokes the bottom of our foot causing our pain. Painful heel spurs are actually a result of damage to the soft tissue at the bottom of the foot. While this may be confusing, we'll try to explain. Heel spurs is the more common name for a condition that is medically referred to as plantar fascitiis or heel spur syndrome. Plantar fasciitis is a location oriented term that refers to the bottom of the foot(i.e. plantar warts). Fascia is a tough, inelastic band. 'itis'is a term used to describe something that is inflamed (i.e. tendonitis, bursitis). to read the rest of Heel Spurs Treatment Guide. Click HERE. Albeniz Turbocharged June 13, 2008 Author Share June 13, 2008 Thanks Apollo. From the site, it seems to suggest that the spur is caused by too much stress on the heel. According to that TCM, he said the spur is due to cholesterol and thickening of blood. I paid $60 today for heel 推拿 + 1 bottle of Chinese medicine tablet (for the heels). Is there any truth with what the TCM said? Or have I been carrot-headed?
Apollo 1st Gear June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 chinese approach is always difference fr western medicine. for minor ailment still ok, but for complex one, no scientific way to quantify wat they say. everything is a certain Ying Yang theory with a firm believe every1 is ok until proven sick. so when u sick, is becos of intake, not becos of gene. Lala81 Hypersonic June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 I went to see a TCM. The physician told me it's 骨刺 at the heel. Does anyone here knows what is the English name for it, and how is it developed? my advice is dun mix the chinese medicine that he gave u with western painkillers Chinese medicine often contains similiar compounds to those in western medicine. As a medical practitioner, there are many things that i think that Chinese medicine is good like tui na, some of the herbs etc they use i oso use myself n tink that it works. However, there are just as many things they anyhow luan luan lai one, once u see the consequences, u oso will be dam wary
Lala81 Hypersonic June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 Erm a spur can cause soft tissue inflammation but it doesn't mean that there always has to be a spur when the soft tissue is inflammed. Therefore i tink his logic is bit flawed unless he has xray vision. These spurs r usually small n shld not be palpable
Albeniz Turbocharged June 13, 2008 Author Share June 13, 2008 Today went 推拿 the heel + 1 bottle of heel medicine for $60 (total). The TCM could locate my most painful point and show me the "slightly-protuding" regions. Was much better after the session and need to go there for 2 more times. Albeniz Turbocharged June 13, 2008 Author Share June 13, 2008 Thanks doc, another question. Have not been sleeping too well recently and the lower reading of my blood pressure is abt 100. Does it spell great danger? Is there anyway which I could reduce the blood pressure effectively? I drink 2-3 cups of coffee daily, does it have any bad effects on the blood pressure? Sonicmood Neutral Newbie June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 Dear all, Over the last few months, I am encountering some heel pain problems. The pain is most severe when I just wake up in the morning. It occurred on both legs. It is most painful in the morning and as the day passes, the pain eases off, but not completely. Then the torture repeats itself again the next morning. This has been going on for about 6 months. Is it a symptom of some medical issues? I don't want to die yet. Anyone encountered this problem before? What is your solution? Please kindly advice. Many thanks. Bro, no worries...it can be cured. If you see the doc, the best they can do is to give you painkiller or inject steroid into your heels & the max is 3 injection per year...do that often & you will screw your heels... I have gone thru all that & was back to square one...painful heels... You need to change to a softer footwear or get those soft heel pad and do plenty of stretching especially the gastrocnemius muscle. I had the same problem but I'm completely cured... I'm now doing 5km run 3 to 4 times a week without any problem...
Albeniz Turbocharged June 13, 2008 Author Share June 13, 2008 The TCM said it (the heel spur) might be due to thick blood and cholesterol. I don't know if he is right. I checked the western web-site, they said it is due to weight-stress on the heel. No mention about thick blood and cholesterol in the western world. ↡ Advertisement
