Sonicmood Neutral Newbie June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 Was he trying to con me for more medicine or more regular visits? ________________________________________________________________ I'm not too sure about that... Anyway, do you notice that after you got out of bed & walk around awhile, the pain seem to get lesser?? The key is stretching and softer footwear... It will improve over time... Chongster 6th Gear June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 from your symptom i am very sure it is heel spur (plantar faciastis) as well, es. the part abt the pain in the morning, that's classic heel spur. it's probably shoes u were wearing, either too small or too hard. mine went away by itself afer i threw away the pair of shoes. acupunture can cure apparently. the steriod injection helps too; but that is an incredibly painful injection. Sonicmood Neutral Newbie June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 (edited) When you stretch your gastrocnemius muscle it will also stretch the achilles tendons which will help in lessening the pain...btw, you can also massage the heels area to speed up the hearing process... get a soft footwear to wear even you are at home (e.g - soft slipper)...the hard floor can do lots of damage to our heels... I hope the tips helps you as much as it did for me...cheers!! Edited June 13, 2008 by Sonicmood
Typhoonz 4th Gear June 13, 2008 Share June 13, 2008 I always believe that western medicine only sometimes tells you the cause while TCM will always tells you the root of the problem...

BanCoe Hypersonic November 3, 2016 Share November 3, 2016 (edited) My heel pain comes back again because my old insoles are in a bad condition now. Have tried icing but reduces pain for a while only. Any recommendations please? Better see an ortho or sports medicine doctor...... they may need to scan to see the damage When its fresh n acute better to treat fast as I remember they put some kind of wave like thingy around the heel area also you will have to do certain heel stretches to strengthen the damage area and others . I'm no doktor but I have been having it on/off for quite many years usually during marathon time Edited November 3, 2016 by BanCoe
Lala81 Hypersonic November 3, 2016 Share November 3, 2016 (edited) My heel pain comes back again because my old insoles are in a bad condition now. Have tried icing but reduces pain for a while only. Any recommendations please? i personally find stretching and regular walking with minimal cushioning shoes the most helpful for myself. i wear nike free shoes casually. I also find that crocs sandals help (only the ones with a good base). May not work for everybody though. Edited November 3, 2016 by Lala81
Raychay 6th Gear November 3, 2016 Share November 3, 2016 My heel pain comes back again because my old insoles are in a bad condition now. Have tried icing but reduces pain for a while only. Any recommendations please? I recently started to have this pain on my left heel. The pain come when I walk 15 mins or more. I found that by changing my footwear helps a lot. My casual shoes are Crocs. The insoles are soft but I guess support not firm enough esp the sides. Changed to hiking shoes and I can walk a lot more without the pain.
