I feel that if you drive your car long enough, you should be able to gauge without having to open the door. [sly]

Somehow, I am never able to park with the door open. [laugh]

Some days ago, I saw someone who did just like that. Reverse until can hear exhaust scrapping the floor. [rolleyes] He did not just once, but moved the car to and back a couple of times. [rolleyes]

oh man ouch. i only scrapped my exhaust whenever i park outside the indoor stadium for events, their carpark kerbs there are really high.

actually im more concerned with scraping my front more than my exhaust. [laugh]

front lip just doesnt quite seem to clear the kerbs and kits definitely break much easier than metal

somehow i'm not used to driving with my head turned backwards, even inside the car, no need to say if i have to stick my head out the side with the door open..

am totally dependent on the mirrors. [crazy]

Well, I wind down the window to see the alignment and the rear. No opening of doors. I can't use my mirrors.

Firstly, I like to turn my head. Call it fighter pilot mentality. When driving, rubber necking is a good thing.

Secondly, I can't use my mirrors because they are flared so that the cabin mirror and the side mirrors cover a really large area in the rear. I never see the body of my car from my side mirrors therefore I cannot use them when reversing to get it right.

Have your style. It is your car and your technique. If it works for you, it works for you. Remember, you ARE THE DRIVER. Other people in their own vehicles are the drivers of their vehicles.
