Latioboy 1st Gear March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 Have you gone for servicing? You been heavy right foot-ing? Also, check your engine oil. It could be very dirty Or just coincidentally, you could have been stuck in a jam, for that particular tank....
Miles 4th Gear March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 check fuel injector... if it is leaking fuel.... your whole tank of petrol will be finished in 200km.
Knightskid Clutched March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 Did you smell petrol inside your cabin? If so, then pop up your bonnet and see whether your fuel line hose is crack and leaking.
Watwheels Supersonic March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 Kind of difficult to pin point the fault according to your info. I guess it could be the fuel pump which is faulty.
Passion 5th Gear March 9, 2008 Author Share March 9, 2008 definitely no.I just pump last nite. And i release it when it click off.I didnt squeeze any more in or what.Normally by doing so,20 to 30km,depend on traffic flow, the needle will drop just below the full marking.now not even 30km,at 3/4 marking.Wow!!! Knightskid Clutched March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 Did you pop up your bonnet and trace the fuel line whether is there any crack?
Miles 4th Gear March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 you have to bring in to servce centre and ask them to check. i know the previous B5.5 passat had this problem.... some VAG owners were complaining that they get only 6-7km/L only to realize their fuel injector was leaking. It does not ooze petrol when engine is off. Only when you drive the car, fuel pump pumps petrol to the injector that leaks and drips instead of spraying fuel to the combustion chamber... the current Passat also reportedly (in european car forum) have fuel pump failure problem. dont know if it affected the cars locally. Passion 5th Gear March 9, 2008 Author Share March 9, 2008 checked. No fuel leaking.I trace the route from entrance of car park to lot.no sign of leakage.
Passion 5th Gear March 9, 2008 Author Share March 9, 2008 Pop up the bonnet,no sign of crack or oozes of petrol.
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 Maybe you would like to bring your ride back to MM for a check up There are many causes to why there is a sudden increase in fuel consumption i.e dirty injectors, air filter, fuel pump kapo, leaking fuel lines .... etc
Passion 5th Gear March 9, 2008 Author Share March 9, 2008 How much to change the fuel pump and stuff?I ask a mechanic,he say pump full tank and monitor.Maybe the pump at station triggle off earlier.I was thinking, how could i travel 377km with only 26L of petrol?Tat's a awesome 14.2km/l for Mazda 2(pre-FL).I encounter this early trigger off at Esso Mobil pump station twice. But neva to this extend.Does catalyst convertor failure contribute to high FC?
