hi bro thanks for the reply.

i suspect my alarm got short as my rear right signal light not working. went to replace the bulb but when the mechanic help me to install he found out that my remote start might have problem that cause no supply to the signal light.

but for the high rpm, how does remote start be the root of the problem? cause it even i start manually, it still give me high rpm?

Hey Aimnfire,

Seriously, I suggest you remove the auto start application on your ride just for safety reason. Or at least get a qualified installer. You spend the $ to enjoy, dont be their white mouse.

From your description, the hi rpm start comes randomly (either hot or cold engine). My accent also has this issue and it seems to be due to the Throttle position sensor. When a scanner is pluged in - it shows a TPS error.

I have not replaced the sensor yet. So currently, when such hi rpm comes (which happens 2-3 times a year), I switched off the engine and used screw driver or a plier to give the TPS a couple of light taps. The engine starts at normal rpm then. Suspect is the sensor's contact issue. In the meanwhile, I am looking for a spare TPS.

Not sure if it works for you but maybe worth giving it a try.

U need to be careful with alarm with remote start function - wrong wiring could lead to several damages. I suggest to re-check on the wiring or go to a qualified wire man to re-wire the alarm.

bro i intend to change to a new alarm. now waiting for ZMC sales person to reply my email.

btw the alarm are not from ZMC, just from some freelance installer that install about 3 years ago

sound like Vacuum leaks. please Check all hoses and intake bolts. it maybe leaking EGR or plugged PCV valve. Air filter plugged. Leaking head gasket. Worn timing chain. Camshaft lobes worn. Valves burned or leaking. Fuel idle control system or sensor.Suggest you send to workshop for checking.

thanks, i will take note all these so that wont kena carrot. but funny thing is sometimes this car sent it and when check by the mechanics....seems like the problem does not exist

dun install SPY alarms if you use the remote start often. The remote start function is lousy and overcranks the starter motor.

The TPS is located at the throttle body where it measures the location of the 'butterfly valve' location.

If you trace the air intake from the airfilter to the throttle body, the 'butterfly valve' in the throttle body where the air intake connects to the throttle body. The TPS is connected to one side of the throttle while the other side is a cable and spring return mechanism. This cable and spring return mechanism is where the accelerator is connected to (so when the engine is idling, moving this part opens and close the throttle and changes the engine speed). The TPS should be visible without any dismantling. It a small plastic component with a cable connection.

Hope this helps.

No comments about Zenesis, but I do know it's made in Korea. Best to read some reviews before committing.

TPS is separate.... for mine, it is a separate aluminium alloy housing with chambers insde. Located at the side of the Throttle body.

Had mine opened up, and it was filthy with a thick coat of soot..... mech cleaned it with some kinda aerosol degreaser spray, changed the rubber seal and my erratic rpms went away.
