Picture on the left or right is correct for the right tyre?[/reply] All 4 tyres are the same. There is no left or right. There is "inside" and "outside" marked on the tyre wall. Just mount the tyre with "outside" facing out. The thread on the left and right will seems to be in the opposite directions.

It is very true that asymmetrical tyres have 'outside' and 'inside' zones. The patterns of the 'outside' snd 'inside' zones or blocks are different. Outer blocks are bigger than the inner block and have less groves. These could be easily identified! Cheers!

i just realised that my 225/55/17 re001s are wearing at a high rate.

almost 50% gone only after 12000km! thats quite bad. might be the soft compound as i am using them on a 1.8 ton suv............

the previous goodyear eagle reached 50% only after about 22-23000km. german f1s if one must know.

(edited)

just purchased 4 pieces of RE001 of size 215/45/17 today for $180 each at Soh Tyre. The initial feel is that its so much quieter and more comfortable compared my old Michelin PP. Stereo can now be heard at a volume 20% softer than before. Overall, I think I got quite a good deal and good tyres for the price.

not trying to do publicity, but I think that the service at soh is better than st that shop across the road. boss is friendly and the turnaround time for the change is so much faster. In and out in 45 minutes flat. Cars that went in b4 me at the shop opposite were still in when i left. In all fairness though, this could be a slower day for Soh and might not be representative of busier days.

u were using michelin pp1 before bro ?

ya, agreed soh bros has better service, ph is just a bit disorganized. i think your price is very fair, sometimes i think the way they do things at ph so rushed rushed, dunno if they doing a good job.

yea was using pp1 before. The grip is good, but then it gets really noisy about 20000km. Ride comfort was also non-existent. Couldn't enjoy my ride like i used to. Changed to RE001 after many good reviews were posted. So far so good after about 150km. Agreed that Soh has better service. Price also reasonable Dun know whether the ppl at PH have enough time to even balance the tyres properly. I like the soft compund, even though I know that its going to wear out faster than the michelins.
