santa fe is not bad a car, if u are happy with :

- with 5-6km/litre fuel mileage

- with precise planning before u execute overtaking manoveur on expressway

or normal road

- 188 bhp for 1.90 tonnes of kerb is simply feeling like driving a tank

- is a human carrier not performance Suv (frankly speaking we as buyer of SUV do not seek

the car to perform fast but at least must have good power to react)

- when taking bends need to be careful, lot of roll or oversteer

- minimium safety feature for such a big car, no VSC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL),

NO TRACTION CONTROL, NO AIRBAG CURTAIN

- 4 wheel drive only upto 40km/hr (but yet is not fuel efficiency)

therefore it is unlike those subaru awd car that help to aid in handling

- the blind spot at A pillar is big, hence alway be extra careful to look out for

pedestrain (probably this is upto individual)

- your OC or female passengers wearing tigh skirt will find it very challenging to go

up/down of santa fe if u do not have side step. (but once again side step is not

a good idea if ever u want to bring the car off road)

derived above observation after 'enjoying' my santa fe for 18 months, but sadly i cannot live with it so have to bid goodbye

but once again for 80k, cannot cry father so much la...

yes sir, is the facelifted version brought duing aug 2006 2.7 LITRES V6 7 seaters (during then not many on road yet).

sold it feb 2008

wait to see if komoco will bring in hyundai veracruz (launch in 2007 but believed mainly for USA). check youtube - the design mimick lexus rx 350 (even the advertisment they use a rx 350 side by side). they should have named it 'HYUNDAI HEXUS 300'

i feel a car of this size should easily need 3.0 litres engine which veracruz is equipped with. but utimately if it is a stripped down version that is going to be available in singapore...think twice.
