I agree totally..

moreover, will I get 10k savings in Fuel with driving Fit/Jazz..

but my worrying factor is the reliability...

IMO, my previous 1.6 Getz is reliable. Never fails me.

Mine is a 3-dr, therefore, after 3 years i changed my ride

as going to start a family.

Else, I'm sure till now, I will be still driving this reliable

little machine. [;)]

It's a good car at a good price. My getz is Nov 2004 but with high coe.

For this car, you have to personally go down to take a look.

Check for any accident or reasons why it's selling off, maybe due to repo or other reason.

Check what is the remaining book value.

I can only vouch for the fc of 13km/L which is achievable if you drive conservatively.laugh.gif

The only downside is the 3dr which deter some people who are used to ferrying passengers and family members.

it's a selfish car, i like. looks more sporty also.. owner said selling due to low usage. but i will have to view the car physically to verify it.

but what remaining book value are u talking about? not sure what u mean here. i'm quite interested to go for it, so will need all the advice i can get. thanks.

seriously...i think theres probably a calculation error for ur FC because previously my 1.3Auto 3dr getz has never been able to achieve more than 11.5km/l even with very lightfooted driving and the car doesnt have much power, sometimes have to rev hard to overtake but its the 1.6manual then it shd be pretty good in power..

Book value means if I sell my car now, how much left of COE, parf or whatever that cannot be disputed.

This is a fixed value depending on LTA system. I think you can check from onemotoring website with the licence plate number easily.

So if the remaining book value is say $24k (for my case), then if I sell at $28k, it's only $4k that you are paying for the body. So the buyer worst case, scrapped the next day, he only lose $4k.

If the buyer buy at $26k, then he only stands to lose a max of $2k if he crashed the car the next day. The book is still claimable back from LTA.

The 1.3A is no good for fc...I understand.

You would be surprised that 1.6m can get 13km/l.

Based on my driving style of 1 person 80% of the time, 70% highway...I can get 13km/l.

Over the course of 4 yrs and fc monitoring, it has an average of 12.5km/l.

1.6m has quite a lot of power and good torque at the low end. Although the gear ratio is bit tricky.

But as someone says, 3dr is a selfish car.laugh.gif

[sly] 38000km for 2.5yrs still ok , mine 2yrs old already 60000km [lipsrsealed] - Sg use only [laugh] , if u are really looking into good FC then go for 1.1L [nod] . My buddy 1.4L (A) from Full to 1/4 ( Light footed ) clocked only 360km - 390km [sweatdrop] while mine 1.1L from Full to 1/2 already clocked 480km-500km [thumbsup] but of course pick up [blush]

My car is close to 60k, but 4 yrs old. Guess I don't drive much.

It has zero major breakdown after the initial problems of a leaking clutch master cylinder and a pin-prick in the coolant hose during the first 3 months, which were replaced under warranty.

Servicing can be as cheap as the costs of the parts itself, if you buy them from stockists and bring them to JB for labour....and avoid Komoco.

My next major is the timing belt change. If I buy the parts and bring to JB, the total costs would be about $130+rm200.

Getz is a cheap, no frills car. But does its job well to move you from A to B.

And maintenance costs is relatively cheap.
