Getting a Used Getz

Hi bros, if u're still keen in a Getz, i have one which is the FL version, 1.6L OPC..u could convert and it should cost u slightly under 30k? Its 3 years old and is done with mods with the engine and chassis(3-4k worth)..fast and very fun and predictable set up! Comes with most of the original parts. And good sound system with 8 speakers and multi cd stack. No accidents or respray before. Even my rims are not scratched..kind of fussy :) So if any of u is keen in a meet up and test drive any evenings, just give me a buzz at 92735262. long time back, b4 install bodykit, yes can achieve.. drive highways often can achieve..

 

nowadays, best at 14.5km/ltr, avg about 13.5 to 14km/ltr bar..

Get a 1.3 or 1.4. Auto is more relax. Manual not so fun anymore when you are in a jam.

Get a 4-door Getz.... more practical.

 

FC is about 10-11km/l. After driving a 1.3A Getz for 4years, it has NEVER gone below 10km/l, no need special foot control. Provided you keep your car exhaust stock.

No problem to achieve 15KM/L as i currently getting 17-18KM/L with my 1.1M

Im driving a 1.4A FL getz and can achieve up to 14/L on 50/50. depends on how ur driving style.. 1.1M is possible achieve up to 18km/L as most of my club members are driving a 1.1M.

10K is a lot for slightly more expensive and it can buy a lot of petrol.. I wonder what is your definition of slightly more expensive

I can only get 11-12km/l for normal driving.

The best I get is 13km/l.

 

Any tips to get 14km/l ?

It is more fun to drive compared to a Getz and you are less likely to buy a lemon

Try to sell your Honda Jazz/Fit and see how much more you get....really...not what you think you get.

 

As for lemon, you have no statistical proof other than "Jazz/Fit is always better than Getz".

mines with customise heatshield, SJ cold air-intake with K&N Filter and 8 point grounds. Tested by my club members and slightly more better pickup and better FC.

Not so sure. I got a friend whos driving a 05 Fit who can at most manage to get 17km/L until now only.. The 08' model im not sure..

With your budget, you can't go for 1.6A Getz, which in my opinion is the 2nd best option in the Getz family. 1.3A or 1.4A would be too FC-UNfriendly liao. But best is still 1.6M, then 1.1M at third position.

 

Limiting yourself to auto-car, plus a small budget, you can easily be cornered. Cause the auto (supposed to be a luxuary) feature comes at a cost.

 

So after all this, I wonder if you have considered a Kelisa. Small and budget auto car, Kelisa would have a petty sound name around.

after the unsuccessful bid of recent COE...thinking of getting 2nd hand car..

 

Getz, Latio Sport, Fit..but all difference in pricing..

 

Gets 05 around 28k

Latio 06/07 around 40 to 45k

 

 

Getz seems the cheapest...but is it because it's the most problematic?

 

getz owner..apart from the power window issue, what other issue do you see?
