has pretty good specs for its class as well...

Engine capacity 1,498 cc

Engine type Incline 4 cylinders, DOHC 16V

Compression ratio 10

Bore x Stroke (78.0 x 78.4) mm

Power 113 bhp

Torque 140 Nm

pretty impressive figure for a 1.5L with that kind of pricing...but all this are paper specs, wld be more interested to hear some bros that has test driven or own one to comment on it.

Thought I had read the review of Mazda 2 somewhere but can't remember offhand. Personally, I like the design of the car and wld be one of my top choice if choosing a hatchback. :) Go test-drive to find out for yourself (I haven't...).

just got for my wife at S$50,188. True Red "V" version. Delivered just week.

comes with sports rim, huperoptik all round, leather seats, chrome muffler, short antennae, fog lights etc etc.

got from village credit at chun tin. SE's Winfield.

will post some pics soon. to me, it is a pretty good and refined ride. packed 5 into it and the ride still runs smooth. FC not known yet coz just a few days old but according to my wife, the needle drops little.

interior's good but it's a little cramp for me *maybe I am used to my camry* The handling is tight. handles corners well. Steering wheel feels a tart heavier than most cars in its class.

stay tune for the pics [;)]

Perhaps a fairer comparison will be prices after including the finance interest rate.

Is Mazda still charging 3.25%? The more common rate seems to be 2.5% these days. Prices would be higher after taking this into a/c and so a piecemeal price does not reflect a real picture.

I've test driven the Mazda2 1.5 R(A). It is gorgeous looking car. You can refer to my post here,

http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...222870;#2222870.

The price S$50-54K quoted by the AD is after in-house finance & insurance rebate when you take at least 7 years loan. If you were not to take a loan, it would be S$54-58K.

the rear is adequate to pack 3 adults. comfortable for short range drive but if you are thinking of packing your entire family in this car up north, you gonna have a sore butt by the time you reach your destination.

waiting for my wife to return from grocery shopping then i shall snap some pics [;)]
