made enquiry with soh bros for my continental sc 3 tyre cost only $300 per piece. check with stamford tyres, who is supposed ot be the authorised distirbutor and it cost $440. any catch ah? how come so much cheaper?

i think this is normal? stamford supply tyre to tyre shop to sell. of course they must sell higher then their customer.

 

if they themself sell lower or same price, which tyre shop wanna order tyres from stamford? lol :)

It is true that Stamford Tyres are more expensive though at times they have good promotion for continental and other brands of tires.

i heard about their high mark up and i thought they would chage more for other brands since they are not the AD.

 

seems like it is rather stupid to charge 440 to retail customer and say 250 to workshops? even if they tout better service than those workshop, how much

my tyre is odd size. those that stamford gives offer usually differently profile from mine.

Now got many promo for CSC3. Look at the small ads in MCF n I see lots of promo fr PS3 even. Quite cheap. I think tire prices r dropping.

may also want to consider PS3, personally i'll rather take PS3 over CSC3

yeah i know it is more expensive for odd size just couldn't fathom why AD charge more than neighbourhood shops and their ads seem to imply because they are ad they can offer the cheapest!
