Supercharged

i see.

ermm, what is the difference between balancing and alignment?

balance - make sure all wheels contacts on ground are standard.

alignment - make sure they are on the same axis.

does it helps in anyway?

google for the answer.. it's available freely..

and yes, it helps but for different situation.e.g alignment is required when you change things like suspension..

well, go find frankie, he is only charging $15 for wheels rotation plus alignment.

sorry, i don't work for him but i just find him seriously good and honest.

i don't know if his price is good but definitely, i like to patrol such shops. always give me a sense of assurance

Market rate for balancing only already cost $10 to $15, inclusive of alignment really abit unbelievable. [shakehead]

just to share some information.

went to Soh becos to hv a puncture hole ( q big ) petch up and was charge for $35.

after few days, there is still air leak so i call Soh and he said i need to change tyre .. i ask him to check for the tyre stock but he came back and said there is no stock for the tyre that i want and instead he ask me to take the MIC ..

call up a few tyre shops and found there are still shops selling the MIG, to save the trouble i go to the shop and change.

by the way, i bought the F1 Ass from Soh few months back, only clock around 5000km.

Think if you tell Soh you really only want the tyre which he said is unavailable, he will usually try to source and call you back. Just 3 weeks ago, he sourced for me even though I called him twice and twice he said not available. The price is still one of the cheapest in Singapore. B4 he fix the tyres, he still personally showed me the tyre model as well as the manufacturing date (which happened to be fresh from the oven). Excellent Service!

On a separate note, just an advise that puncture in tyres can potentially lead to destabilising drives or worse case, accidents. Though there are professional advices that said patching can be done for certain scenarios, try to play safe by changing tyres if puncture is detected. Don't want loved ones to suffer from our negligence yah? end of the day ... to each his own ... Cheers!

$35 for patching??? internal or external patching?

internal patching, does the tyreman use a bigger or small round black patch to patch the hole?

external patching, the long orange colour patch, does the tyreman cut into half instead of using the whole piece for the patching?

Guys,

Currently I am on Falcon FK452, 225/45/17. Need to change a new set soon in a week time.

Any recommendation? Jus normal drive. Wan decent good grip for wet and dry.

My fren is using RE001, not so bad feedback from him.
