I especially loves the way the CS guys drive the Cherys around the building when the owners sent it in for servicing. They cheong every hump like they were driving Citroens.

I don't know how the con artists there can live with themselves, quoting conti prices for everything from repair to servicing. I forgot to mention that during my servicing, I complaint about the AC being too cold and having no way to adjust it (even setting it at 32 deg cel is freezing and that can't be good for the compressor), and what they did was change the AC switch for $45 and charge me $60 for 0.5 manhours. WTF man... and it never even solved my problem.

Seriously, what kinda dumb-ass school kid runs the company I would like to know, because that's a textbook way of running it into bankruptcy.

why dun you post the china sites here so that people can DIY?

just go to any china "amazon" website like taobao and search for the parts

can find lots

its always easy to say can get parts from overseas. but how reliable are these shippers?

so far get all the orders shipped to singapore

TOMIKA are excellent air-con people. They fixed my problem in 15 mins when others were giving me run-around answers. It turned out to be that my thermostat was modified by the previous and it just had to be adjusted.

I've just driven up to KL with this car. Comfortable ride, not much to complain about.

:D hi im wilson, driving chery a168(opc) since 2008,no major problem till now. :D one dislke is all mic car headlight

I kinda like the headlights on the Chery V5 which I own. What about the MIC car headlights do you not like? Are you referring to your model specifically?

Thanks for the reply guys. I complain a lot about the Chery V5 because my wife really wanted it and I went against all I knew was right and bought it because she liked the car and because the price was really attractive. After 2 months, I am slightly happier now. I changed the radiator fan with a trusted mechanic for less than half the price and he even used a japanese fan motor instead!! However, there was a problem with the radiator hose leaking after he put it back and he basically had to to double clamp the hose to stop the leak. He said that the hose used to connect the radiator to the engine looked a bit bigger than usual... but the important thing was that was solved, however I still think that my engine is quite hot after each drive.

I subsequently had problems with one of my headlights having water vapor but used silicon to cover the gaps and that is ok now. Honestly, if one can look past the build quality of the interior and substandard QC of the parts like light assembly, etc then I think it's a pretty value for money buy.

Now I have 2 issues outstanding. First is my reverse sensor is not working correctly and secondly the AC in the car is extremely cold. Even at 32 deg cel which is the max, the air con is damn cold during the day. If I set it any lower, the compressor hardly cuts off. I am sure this is related to the thermostat, but I would like to get a recommended shop to go to as my mechanic does not specialise in AC.

For aircon too cold, probably you need to check your coolant level. If there is not enough coolant, there is insufficient "hot coolant" to provide the extra heat to mix with cold air for the warmth. Pls check it out and let us know. Happened to me before.

Thanks, it turned out that the previous owner installed a bypass for the heater and used an OEM thermostat that just needed to be adjusted. TOMIKA fixed it in 15 mins. Now all good, except an annoying rattling coming from the back which I need to find and fix. I'm guessing it's the rear windscreen wiper but not sure.
