Problems with your Chinese Car?

Having read so many good things from DriftKing about his A168, would like to know from fellow forumers or Chinese car owners on whether they encounter any good or bad experiences with their cars? For the price you are paying is it worth the trouble, if any, etc.

 

I am just trying to understand and prepare, if necessary, myself should the Chinese car dominance prophecy do come true.

 

So far I have read some bad news from other forums like poor fc, boot cannot open, car "dies" going up slope, etc... Just for discussion sake.

1) Chinese cars are damn good

2) Hardly any Chinese car owners here

I'm driving Chery T11 2.0 . SO far no prob except for accesories. I encounter speedometer spoilt so they replace for me a new panel with the odo reset to 0 again. .. My milage at that time is 20k++. Now only 1k.. I went up to kl... with my family... manage to hit 180km/h. engine a bit noisy but i think soundproffing will solve the prob. FC 10 - 11km/l.. NSH got 12.5km/l.. I luv the car.. but servicing every 5k... so a bit ex..

Seriously, whole heartedly, no intention of fishing him out. Really want to know the absolute truth to the car, I mean seriously, won't buy one to find out for myself what are the problems or potential issues with the car.

 

Just want owners to be absolutely honest about it and hopefully get an unbiased opinion unlike those from DK.
