Before leaving your car, will you bother to remove the cradle after removing your GPS unit ?

A timely reminder. I for one do not remove my cradle as it is a hassle to remove and fix the cradle evertime I need to use the GPS. Thanks for the warning.

How timely..I am flying to US this week and intend to use my Garmin there. Will definitely keep everything when I park in case the rental car gets broken into.

Personally i dun own a GPS unit.

But i saw quite a number of cars that DID NOT even bother to remove their GPS unit after they park their car in public carparks.. So dangerous... GPS unit is worth so much more than a cash card (assuming ppl top up ard $50-$100), one day those ppl will be tempted to steal the GPS.

i do not remove cradle also. the chances of thief stealing GPS is very slim.

thief only strike for things that they can exchange for $$$ fast.

stuffs like cash card or hard cash. what is the point for them to steal GPS since they are difficult to dispose off.

ya.. very brave of them to leave it in the car..

BTW, if i got a GPS, i will at least unattach the GPS unit and hide somewhr in the car. and will just leave the cradle on the window. [:)]

Are you refering to the cradle only or the cradle together with the GPS unit?

I keep my GPS unit, but left the cradle on the windscreen. Will that be a problem?

The empty cradle is hinting the theft that you might storing your GPS unit inside your car.

Watch the clip and they will tell you why.

Even you have no GPS unit kept in the car, why lure them to break your window ?
