Kelpie 2nd Gear February 10, 2008 Share February 10, 2008 (edited) 1. It is already a reality as seen in BMW Hydrogen 7, AKA H7. BMW already rolled out 100 of such car to date. 2. It is a V12 DOHC, 6L, 260bhp/5100rpm, 39.4/4300rpm, 6 speed and weight a whopping 2.5 tons. 3. Another one, Honda FCX Clarity that runs completely on batteries with zero waste. They planned to use US South California to test market response based on a rental/leasing basis. Regards, Edited February 10, 2008 by Kelpie

Kelpie 2nd Gear February 10, 2008 Share February 10, 2008 Comparing Hybrid and Bi-Fuel (Petrol/CNG) or Bio-Fuel. Both have some room to go to match the performance of their petrol driven peers. For example, a Civic 1.8L FD NGV that runs completely on CNG, only generate 115bhp versus a normal Civic 1.8L FD with 140bhp. IMHO, the vendor's claim of marginal drop in horses when switching to a CNG is not true. Regards,
Bryanlow Neutral Newbie February 10, 2008 Share February 10, 2008 Ya true. The CNG setup alone has already worsen your Power to Weight ratio. How can it be not affected?
Normal_aspirated Clutched February 10, 2008 Author Share February 10, 2008 the only advantage of CNG now is it's still cheap.
Kelpie 2nd Gear February 12, 2008 Share February 12, 2008 Yes, it is cheap to use apart from the one-time installation cost but power will suffer. Regards, ↡ Advertisement
