If I remembered correctly, it was mentioned in Autopia that this product is manufactured by CarLack.

CarLack68 can be found locally too, 1L bottle cost abt $58.

Have any bros compared Carlack 68 with Hi-Glaze 88, does it give the same result?

I have called and asked, the price for 1 litre of car-lack 68 is $58.

Comparing to 350ml of Hi-Glaze is $18.75 at Esso, it is more worthwhile to get Hi-Glaze 88.

Question here. I have this Hi-Glaze88 & also Black Magic Liquid wax. Also just bought claybar. I was thinking of after claying(never try before) & washing, dry den use wax, buff off den use Hi-Glaze 88? Will The Hi-Glaze 88 remove and/or weaken the earlier applied wax?

HG88 is more of a sealant.....

if u do not intend to use a AIO polish, then juz use HG88 as the first layer, then put ur black magic liquid wax on top of HG88 after 24 hours...

experts, correct me if im wrong...

I'm using a different technique to use Glaze 88 to wash.

I pour 1-2 cups into the water and just use that water to wash my car.

After the wash, your car will be wet. Don't dry it yet.

Then followed by a wet microfiber applicator, I squeeze about 20 cents amount and wipe on it, the wetness of your applicator and car will spread the sealant nice and even.

Followed by a waffle weave/microfiber to dry it immediately.

This my own express detailing for a almost 5 year old car =)

30 - 40 mins job.

Should use the wax then follow by sealant. Waxing give a good finish but sealant bring out the shine and protect the paint.

That depends on manufacturer..There are 1 or 2 brands out there that is wax first then sealant..

Aiyoh.. All different opinions.. Hehe.. After some more research this what I will do.

Ok in a while I will clay it, rinse, then use a light coating of Hi-Glaze 88 1st, a few hours later then use Black Magic Wax.

Well, I guess it depends.

The Wax i use is Colinite's. It's a tough wax & does not require frequent waxing.

Hi-Glaze 88 is both a sealant and cleaner. So, for weekly maintenance, I will just use Hi-Glaze 88.

But if u have collinite on ur car already then next week u use hi-glaze 88 it will just remove the collinite as its a cleaner.

Don't think there is any harm in mixing brands of waxes. What I was trying to say is that if u use a sealant with cleaning properties, it might remove whatever wax or sealant u have applied before that.

for the weekly maintenance i have mentioned, i'm using 1 cap to 1/3 pail of water.

i reckon that if hi-glaze88 can be disolved in water, it is not as tough as colinite wax.

when i use dynamo to wash the mf cloth, it came off clean easily. not so for mf cloth/applicator with colinite wax.

Another method will be premix in a spray bottle..then use it like a detailer.. ^_^
