Kelpie 2nd Gear January 27, 2008 Share January 27, 2008 1. Pardon my ignorance, wanted to know whether these brands are related or not? Are are China made? 2. I was told rims that passed out as exact replica of the real things are the same in term of quality. It is something like a backyard sales of Parallel import. How true is this? Can replica really be trusted? Regards, ↡ Advertisement
Protege 1st Gear January 29, 2008 Share January 29, 2008 I am not sure whether they are related or not. But Kyowa is made in Taiwan and I have used 2 sets of rims from them for my 2 rides. I have to say they are value for money as they are relatively lightweight compared to their other Taiwanese counterpart. According to the local distributor, Kyowa's factory and technology is one of the newest in Taiwan and therefore they are of good quality. They cannot compare to good quality Jap rims. But at the price you are paying for Kyowa, I think there is nothing to really complain! ↡ Advertisement
