not sure it is a habit thing or spatial handicapped. found prevalent in vehicles such as mpv n suv regardless of the gender of the vehicle operator.

the driving height of an suv is higher... harder to guage the limits of the vehicle... esp making 90 degress turns in car park.... i drive a sedan... but when i once drove my gf's suv... i felt like a noob... [lipsrsealed]

I always never take it for granted that people will stick to their lanes when turning. Either I am ready to jam brakes or ready to chiong past.

Don't really agree with the mans' pointer that his car is longer and thus he needs more space to turn left. I'm sure there is sufficent space in lane one, just that he has to slowly.

What I often encounter (when I am the turning car on the inside of the bend) is that the car supposed to turn into Lane 2, although he does turn to the correct lane, but in the process of turning, he doesn't turn wide enough, forcing me closer to the kerb and thus causing me to have to eat further out at the apex of the turn, in worst cases may eat into next lane.

So best thing is not to turn two cars together at a time.

Anyway when I am the car in the outer lane, I will usually turn into the outermost lane and then filter back to the middle lane if I need to, rather than just turn directly into the middle lane. Safer.
