ok this is just a question to anyone.

Whats high beam light? Can switch on high beam light perpetually one meh?

I got 2 options. 1 is those small light, 1 is big light. All cars drive with the big light which i observed coz small light is totally useless.

My high beam, i got to use tap the handle towards me. I didnt know can on it perpetually...

How long have you be driving [lipsrsealed]

By pushing the light switch towards the back will turn on the high beam.

are you refering to headlight instead of high beam?

hahah.. I mean you only turn on pole light when driving at night in singapore... [sweatdrop]

but if you really mean highbeam, turning it on perpetually will only make you blind, from non stop HighBeam & Flash back from oncoming traffic.. [dizzy]

or maybe your windscreen is in bad condition, due to wax, dirty, or low quality solar film..

Hi, newbee here, just wondering if I need to use the high beam light when traveling at night in SG. place such as TPE, lentor ave... I did not use this after collecting the new car. however, sometime I feel the oncoming light is so strong, it make me can't see clearly.

Thanks

Supercharged

maybe it is me but i find those cars with excessive lights on spore road r overkill as it ended up blindly oncoming or those in who r in front of them.

==========================

Fully agree. I can't stand those bright lights, especially those with poorly aligined lights.

hmm..i know inspection they got check the lights but to what extent i am not sure?

last time i know when i drive pick-up, the centre very siao on.

but with a coe car, they bochap.

anyway, to make this a constructive contribution, perhaps u 1 2 share where u go n install yr lights n how to ensure they did a proper alignment & at what damage to our wallet. TIA cos i feel like taking up yr advice but scared my ride become Kork-eye, wait pple c already = dizzy.gif

I think no need to use high beam in singapore.... after all every street here is lighted by street lights, so nicely put in by LTA. Also there are too many other road users, and if you do use high beams then you risk endangering other road users.

Please don't use high beam cos the driver in front will be blinded by the lights behind him. Had experience before and its definitely not a nice feeling for the driver in front...

the worst thing is when you have 2 pairs of poorly aligned lights staring at you.. 2 big one on top and 2 small one at the bottom..

======================

Toking of that. Just now on the way back on the CTE got a Saanyong taxi with it's left headlight way too high shining light directly into my rear view mirror. Damm irritating. [furious]

Most cars fail their headlight test during inspection. I only passes it ONCE.

I think to pass your left light has to b very angled to the left & down (to see the edge of the road clearly) & the right light pointing slightly left & not high enough to blind anyone in front.

My VP were installed at a shop around Toh Guan & was very well done. He use clean cotton gloves even. My VP lasted abt 3 years till I just sold it. Still going strong but only getting slightly dimmer.

The alignment of the headlights I did it my myself. I found a dark flat & straight road & just adjust till the end of the low-beam is just touching the road ahead. After adjusting I go far in front & see if the lights wil blind me or not. Takes a bit more time but it works.

Use the high beam light only if u'r fxxking blind. At least that's what I call those drivers who use them. I'll say:" Hey look, here comes a blind fxxk".

Unless you're travelling along Jln Mempurong or other ulu areas without street lamps, u don't really need the highbeam. Besides, u'll affect other road users just as you felt blinded yourself when oncoming traffic uses the highbeam [flowerface]

Jln Mempurong use highbeam only when u see a car parked and shaking vigourously by the side.... hehehee [laugh]

like the bro using only when there isn't any streets lamp around..

using it in normal driving condition, will cause drivers in front or coming towards you alot of discomfort..

imagine having a torch light shone into your face.
